I'm using the average organic type jiffy cups, they seem to be made of paper. These tend to dry out pretty quickly, and i was wonder... should i hold back watering even if the soil is dry 2" down? even though i just watered close to 24 hours ago...

I dont want to overwater, but i dont want to let them dry out over night and not know it =-o

Lol, seems like we need a pro to come in and answer our question!

Any good growers out there know the answer?

Hmmmmm..................
It's like kismet that we all come together on this question.
I re-potted in jiffy's last night, soaked them, and 24hrs later they're feeling a little light?
Are there, as Emo put it, any "pro's" out there???

its weird, sometimes my soil doesn't asborb my water right away, what do you think could cause this?

also, i said @#$@ it, they havent been watered in a day and a half anyway, i think it's safe to water till run off for tonight then wait another day and a half :D, in my opinion jiffy cups seem to absorb the moisture alot quicker so regardless you'll have to water atleast every 1-2 days, it shouldn't starve the plant and it shouldn't cause any damage.

I'm not a pro though, this is just my best guess
