Ok heres my 'hacks' I use to get fast roots. I'm sure I'll get flack for it but it's how I've rooted cuttings for years and I can root some strains in 5days so... Ya.
1 dummy plug. That's right throw an empty plug in the tray and shove the temp probe from the controller into it. Now you have an accurate reading on the actual rootzone temp. Not the temp of the air if you hang it in the dome. This is how most people cook their clones. The bottom will continue heating to keep up to the rapid cooling in the top of the dome. This is not what we want. It could be 85° in the tray to try to keep the top at 75.
Measure the temp in the zone you want to know the temp of.

Now. My last 'hack' is sort of a hybrid theory of aeroponic rooting. Filling the bottom with water and using an airstone to create a layer of saturated air within the root zone. Using an airstone in the bottom does a few things.
A: it circulates the water around keeping a more steady temp.
B. Creates more humidity in the rooting zone and in the dome itself.
C: keeps up clean airflow. Pump in air and it's gotta go somewhere, so keeping a steady stream of clean air going through keeps the plants from going fuzzy because of stagnant air trapped inside.
D: oxygenates the roots once formed. Keeps those roots growing and getting a nice base before planting. Sort of like starting them off in dwc.
Again. I'm not saying this is the best way to do it or that you should do it this way... Just a way I sort of figured out myself and have used for many years. And I used to cut up 5-6 trays every spring season for outdoor planting and rarely ever lost cuttings. Its the best/fastest way I've ever used to root and I've tried em all.

Just remember cleanliness is key. Wash wash wash everything and bleach it. Clean all tools and hands prior to and post making cuttings. If you think. Should I clean this? Clean it twice.
Even drop a dab of h2o2 in the tray to keep down any pathogens or fungus. It will help your cuts root faster and give you much higher success %'s

So now we wait, 3 days vents closed. You can open it everyday and take a peak make sure your water level is good etc. The airstone is keeping fresh air cycling so you don't have to open it and nothing bad will happen.
After 3days open up the vents about halfway. Then all the way the next day. Watch for wilting. Watch your water level. After 2 days close the vents again. Roots to follow.

They look ok. Couple of em are a little hurtin but that's why I take a couple extra just in case. The yellow ones are the pink panties x fpog and they are difficult to root. Just did a batch for a friend and they took longer and a few didn't make the transport to his tent.
Right now we are looking for swelling on the main stem. That means the roots are comming. Just make sure the plugs arent saturated with water. If they are then gently squeeze them and put them back into the tray so the plug sits high in the tray like this.

Vents are fully open for 24hrs now. Let that humidity drop and they will think they need to grow roots fast or die. Again watch for wilting. Any wilt and close those vents for an hour then open them up 1/4 or 1/2 way again after a few hours.
After being open for 24 hrs and little to no wilt close the vents again and let them root. You should see roots within a few days.

That's honestly the best way I root. You want to get roots asap then you want to nurse that plant back to 100% asap. As soon as I see the nubs growing on the main stem I mix up the 'half strength' rapid start and give them that. Then velokelp next time.

One cup gaia 444 per 5g promix hp a splash of compost mix moisten let sit done.
I just find it takes some time to get going... I'll be getting into warmer weather with the next run so I'm worried about timeframes
Although I'm sure it'll be different with this fce8000. Much cooler I'd imagine than cmhs

Lmao. Dude. Your so clean compared to how I take my cuts. I’m still using sterile equipment. But I use 91 iso and a hobby tool blade. Like a scalpel. Melamine board wiped down. And that’s it. Clip dip and sit. Lmfao. Cover them bitches up for 5 days. Then remove dome. Whatever lives. Roots. Whatever dies. In the trash lol. 90% for me.
I’m in for the ride on this one. Congrats on that light again. Fucking bitchen!

I just like to be clean because I know it works. I hate wasting plugs they cost a pretty penny. Plus I like getting roots fast, so the plant doesn't 'drag'. After they have roots and planted I want them growing as fast as possible and eliminate as much veg time as possible.
Glad to have you! Just keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times.

Ive had good luck dropping a clone in right away, easy on the compost though, it will choke it.

Cuts are planted!
Just prepping them up now. In about 2 weeks when the current run finishes they'll be a week or 2 away from flowering. Perfect.
Used 2 diff types of mycorrhizae (diff brands diff strains of mycorrhizae) guess we will see if there's any difference between them!
I used dynomyco and grotek synergy.
Each pot is labeled with the strain and the type of mycorrhizae.
