Joey Weed C99...Pheno Questions.

Hey guys, I am running 6 c99 ladies right now, and I seem to have 3 phenos going on.

There is a very tall, lanky looking pheno that looks like it would be perfect for scrog. Easily taller than both of the other phenos and really pushing out bud sites.

Then there is a shorter, slightly bushier pheno, and a very short, stocky pheno as well.

I'm wondering, has anyone grown these beans from Joey and had the same phenos? I'm wondering which is which, as far as the contrast between Pineapple/Fruit Punch?

I can't make out a clear cut difference in smell when using the stem test. These 6 plants have overtaken my 3.5x3.5 closet in only 11 days since the flip (definitely over-vegged) so it's hard to get pics of the individual plants.

Can anyone offer any insight based on the descriptions? You probably will have had to have grown the strain from Joey, or at least have some experience with c99. +rep for helpin' out.

Yikes! Wish I could say I've grown those strains, but I haven't. Based on what you're describing, the shorter, stocky plant seems like the ideal pheno to keep.

Thanks Punk! I currently have mom of all the phenos, so after the harvest I'm gonna keep the dankest of them all. But I've heard there are two main phenos with c99 that people end up with Pineapple, the most popular I guess, and a little more rare 'Hawaiian Punch' pheno. I've also read about a pheno that takes on more of a 'rotten flesh' type of smell.

I have not seen many grows for joey's c99 but is on the wish list.


From what I've learned and do with multiple phenos is keep cuts of each until you have fully grown out and smoked each one and keep the best ones or the ones you love. It can take multiple runs to weed out strains, espically if they all smell and look good

All info from Mr Soul, C-99 creator/maker/breeder :

(1) The tall, lanky pheno is the biggest yielder !
(2) Rotten meat/ fruit punch pheno is the most potent !
(3) Top at the 4th node (week 3 - 4 veg) and bloom when the branches are at least a foot long for the best yield !
(4) Males show sex before the females MAJORITY of the time, and around week 5 - 6 of veg between the 5th and 7th nodes WITHOUT FAIL !
(5) Bloom at 12 - 15 inches tall, AT LEAST !
(6) Seeds are small, tan in color and speckled NOT striped !
(7) The "high" is too intense for MOST ppl. Dr Atomic wouldn't smoke her a 2nd time b/c he got too paranoid ! roflmao
(8) You can get 1lb of dry, harvested buds per 1k of lights in 2gal pots of soil, easily !
(9) Very "psychedelic" and "trip weed" ! Smoke a LITTLE then wait 10 minutes before smoking more. VERY EASY TO OVER-INDULGE !!
(10) Mr Soul flowers his clones when they are 1 foot tall and they double in size !!
(11) C-99 sisters from the "original" seeds he found and grew with her are the now famous G-13 and not-so-famous Cafe' Girl (biggest yielder/cash cropper he planned on releasing too but didn't) !
(12) Cindy NEVER hermaphrodites !
(13) Cindy is originally from 10 Jack Herer F2 seeds Mr Soul found when he bought some Jack in Amsterdam at Coffeeshop Sensi Smile

I'll be growing 2 different breeders C99 around Turkey Day and making seeds from those 2 seperate lines for my own new F1's !
Will be crossing Neferti's C99 (C4 pheno) x Fairlights C99 F5 Bros Grimm stock.
