Why not harvest the cola when it's ready and leave lower buds put her back into 12/12 and feed your bloom Nutes, you may be surprised.

Just a small update. It's been close to two weeks and she's still chugging along. She got fairly mauled by my cat who broke past the barricades and chewed on some leaves (but not the bud sites, and the cat didn't get sick thankfully). Oddly it didn't seem to stress the plant at all. I also fucked up and left the lights on for like 36 Hours around the same time and I seem to have been forgiven for that one too. Some say 'it's a weed', but Mary Jane seems to get temperamental sometimes 
I've since got a single 6" 240 cfm in working as exhaust. It's kind of noisy though, oh well. I upped the dynagro bloom nutes in my water and I'm at around 300 ppm, and keep in mind my water is like 100 ppm or so. I've read ppm charts and they all recommend higher, but I'm too scared to burn her especially since it's mg soil.
I've also introduced my 125w 6400k cfl on a ballast into the grow yesterday. It's wrong spectrum, but I figure it's something. So far this plant has had no real nute def unlike my last one which I find amazing. I'm going to chalk it up to luck and stable ph.
Edit: Oh, and no more skinny & long new growth. It's a lot fatter now, and a bit shorter too.

It's bagseed from some 'mids', and this is my second plant. Those stems, I don't know. I had the same problem last time too, and both plants have/had evidence of too much N. The last one had P problems eventually too.
I never considered the species honestly. I just figured it an indica like most of the crap we buy lol.
EDIT: Also I actually killed my first plant by dropping the led on it while setting it up. Then I took 2 cuttings, both rooted in water I never changed, planted both in the same pot (so technically this is my third plant
), and I think I tried to get them to go back to veg but my light hours (having no timer) were when I got up...so like 15/11 lol, it probably wasn't enough. Then I kinda tortured her through her flowering with terrible ph management and plenty of nute defs including magnesium (which I mistakenly used the wrong kind of epsom salts to fix), also with crappy lighting.
In the end though she made it through and even yielded me some, no more than 20g if that. Still was fun to smoke your own (uncured, and over fertilized) bud though, and the high was nice and spacey, very heady you know.

Mine has been flowering since july and it is STILL not done.... but close. so if it's along the same strain it'll take 12 weeks to flower... Just the past week I have noticed she has swelled up her buds and the hairs are around %20 orange now. Grow is in signature. Sorry for crappy quality pics. Don't have a good cam nearby. Trying to get a friend to come over and take some pics for me. she went to school for photography and takes AMAZING pics.looks like a hybrid sativa/indica ...which may take a bit longer to finish...that's why its best to check trichomes with a scope.... to insure proper/enough flowering time to develop ripe buds
out of the 3 females I got only ONE has purple stems... Must be genetics as applying epsom salt didn't help. So assume it's genetic until you notice purpling under the leaf into the veins.. then start thinking about the possibility of a nute deficiency.
and i don't care what people say about bagseed.. if you grow it right you will be surprised how good of bud you get for FREE!!

My plant snapped under all the foliage. I'll be honest I was pretty upset losing it so pointlessly the day I got the damn light. Then I discovered cloning which was a fucking godsend.
