if i were in your position this is what id do

id buy the SON T PLUS (hps) and use it in a flowering room and then id buy a shit load (6-12) cfl's and make a veg room this way you can have a veg room with mothers to make clones and a flowering room with the best kind of light to flower with (hps) in another room and you can have a nice grow set up... but if you dont have room to make two rooms... or your wanting to grow under one light for the whole process then id go with one of the duals... or you could jus get the hps and use that combined with some cfl's either way i think the hps is the best bet.... just my opinion tho.

All I would advise you is not to go to a digital ballast. A friend of mine said they're nothing but trouble and not worth the benefits they (adverts) talk about. Go Analog dude!

digital is good shit. quiet and efficient. if your going 400w go with 600w. same price virtually and much better output. go air cooled and yeah separate rooms for vegging. instead of cfl's id say go with a small MH, like 250w or a small t-5 with mixed spectrum bulbs. this is the world i one day hope to live in.

Iv just ordered one :D cant bloody wait, neither can my plant hehe :joint:

Im trying to get round the having a seperate veg room thing by trying a few auto ak47 grows as they use the same light cycle through veg and flower so i can veg and flower in the same room

Although i have the 2 125w cfl's and reflector if i decide to do that, or maybe get a big bang mother going for clones, hmmmmmmmm

I have used both Phillips(Son-Agro) and Sunmaster bulbs. I am using Sunmaster now as they give me a wider choice of spectrums .Good luck.
