Just broke a CFL... hello mercury!

So I just broke a 150equiv cfl in my room, I opened up the window and the door and let the air circulate for 10-15 min before I cleaned everything up.... I replaced the 150watt with a 100 watt, since I am only a week away.. sucks though, I had to downgrade the wattage the store was all out of the good ones. I hope I don't get mercury poisoning ! Anyone else breaking CFLs!?

i broke a 100 watters a few weeks ago. sucks man. there not cheap. thats for damn sure. atleast it wasnt an hid bulb. now that SUCKS

Yeah, apparently it has around 5mg of mercury, whereas a thermometer(older models) have up to 500mg. If you break enough they can be potentially harmful. Especially since the mercury turns into a vapor and is inhaled. I feel a little weird right now, Im not going to lie. I am just pissed about the cfl, I mean I have like a week left, but still, instead of 4 150watt bulbs I only have three now, and one 100watt and a 25 watt. sucks indeed

I broke an 350 wat incadescent equivelent just last night, opened up the window waited 15-20 minutes and then cleaned everthing up. It sucks, now I have to wait on another order I placed for 2 of them coming soon. Those things are too expensive to break.
