Just got asked for a captcha!?

I just went to post in my grow thread and got asked to enter a captcha. Like fuck was I going to on a forum like this. Just wondering if this is some new policy, or some attempt to hack my account in some way. Most unusual.

Bump! Anyone else had this? Mods please advise! I am concerned for the security of my account.

should be in the support section but someone will surely see it here. I guess I haven't experienced wtfever it is .

I had it happen the other day, Sunni (global Mod) said it was something they were trying to use to filter spam.

That was my first thought. Def a needed feature although personally I hate those fucking captcha things and don't get them most of the time.

Spam Filters due to the mass of third world posts and more lol , it gets to be ridiculous and I just copy and paste as its easier to refresh the page and do this than to decipher the damn words all jumbled together .

I think they need to fine tune it to newbie posters or something because I'm still seeing alot of spam.

Seems random right now and it freaks people out. I was confused first time I saw it.

I just got slapped in the face with a captcha too "confirm your access to riu". I rather see captchas than spam but yeah, newbie group, or based on post count and/or registration date would be nice.

It's to limit fins activity.

been happening to me since yesterday...hope its safe, my ip address is at the bottom ...

I've seen some new CAPTCHAs that are puzzle pieces that you have to drag and drop.
