Just wanted to say

I posted this earlier, and I think it should go somewhere for more people to see it. I believe we all need to keep this in mind as a deterrent in hopes of minimizing the drama. And yes its coming from me for everyone who knows who i am, as I am going to make myself better I would like to see take in my stride. We need to bring the community closer together!

My message to you wonderful people

Hell yeah brother couldnt agree more, and when it comes to this culture its all about the relations with like minded people. A lot of us get into arguments, but thats because we feel passionate about our beliefs about a certain topic. It gets a little hairy but no matter what, no matter how different ones point of view is on something compared to another persons here. We are all trying to help, thats because we all have hearts. We come on here hours on end everyday, going through threads that peek our interest. We meet new people and add on to our alliance of cannabis enthusiasts. A good family has fights, a good family helps each other anyway we can. We stay on these forums for one reason, because its our home.

Such a welcome addition here!!! I miss Gardenkown too!! What a super guy that was. Hope his book sells out.

It better i bought 3 copies so far. They make excellent gifts! kinda bummed he dont come on here nomore, but i get it. I hope he is doing well though whatever he is doin, where ever he is at, i'm more then positive he is spreading love. That was always the most important thing. Make sure you love, w/o love your just not human, its a wonderful feeling too.

I haven't been on in a while when ya switch avatars? You used to have that oldschool looking guy smoking pop art type avatar didnt ya?

Yeah that was it!!! Just started coming back to the forums a month or so ago from a 3 year kinda on and off break. I started behaving how i did before, kinda hard not to when some people in here try to stir things up just to see what happens. But something hit me earlier, might of been after reading the numerous pages about fdd in the toke and talk forum might of been some kind words i was given earlier. But whatever it was made me realize that i forgot why i joined and got into this in the first place. Being angry about certain aspects of something you love just isn't worth the anger and stress. Life is too short and we ALL need to start living for what makes us happy.

Man I couldn't agree more. Nice post. No need to waste any energy on the bill shit. A little argument is good sometimes but is taken to far with the personal insults. I have seen some pretty harsh ones here. I too joined a while back but didn't like what I was seeing so forgot about it but logged on a while ago and seemed like a different atmosphere. People wanting to help and learn. That's why we are all here. One love. Peace.

I couldn't agree more. I joined this site 6 mos ago to share, learn and generaly feel like I am part of a community.
I am however, tired of listening to some people spout the virtues of HID vs Fluoros. You can achieve amazing results with both. (especially using mixed spectrum)
I find it especially funny when HID users visit the CFL/fluoro site to proclaim this very thing!
If you don't like fluoros, stay off the fluoro threads. Telling people to trash their equipment and replace it with HID is insulting, rude and condecending.
We should be encouraging, supportive, complimentary and helpfull. How is insulting a persons growing methods going to achieve anything?
I myself grow with HO T5s and chose to do so, not because of cost, but because I have been interested in multi spectrum. I have $1000s invested in this.
Let's remember why we joined this site people.

Sorry to bust in but I agree with you if I could get my hands on a t5 or two I would defo give it a go I'm up for trying anything that might save a few quid

Unfortunately, by the time you get enough HO T5 bulbs to acieve the same lumen rate as HIDs, your using almost the same amount of electricity. I have 18, HO T5s, all of them 4 footers, @ 5500 lm. per bulb, thats 99,000 lm. Adding the 12 cfls I have along the sides (23-43 watters) and on clamp lights around the plants, (at an average of 1800-2400 lm per bulb) that's an additional 21,000+- lm.
All together, even rating the cfls as 1800 lm. ea, That's around 120,000 lm. and 1250 watts. (not a bad lm/watt ratio)
