I've noticed an increase or decrease of smell with humidity changes. I googled flowers and found a paper about flowers producing less smell with an increased humidity. No idea if it applies to cannabis.
Its still mid-flower, they will get better. But, I bet if you turned off your exhaust fan and came back in 10 minutes you would notice the smell.

You're absolutely right and I think you have hit the nail on the head so to speak. I have gotten my humidity more in check and I now hover around the 40 to 50% range and I have noticed an increase in stench. I was running around 30% on a good day.

Well another week down. And we got some bad news but expected news, the plant being fed by the tablet started showing deficiencies. My best guess is nitrogen slash maybe a little Iron def also. (First two pics are of experiment plant with leaf discoloration.

week 9 report:

So here we are at week 9 of flower and I couldn't be happier. Buds are absolutely huge and the smell is phenomenal. 1 of my 5 is getting very close to harvest. Well maybe. 3 weeks ago I said I was gonna chop her in 2 weeks (last week) but still not quite there yet. Maybe another week, maybe 3, who knows, still SOME white hairs and clear trics half way down the main colas. Top of the colas is about 70% amber trics but still many clear trics if you go down 5 or 6 inches from the top. And she's still fattening up.



Experiment plant update:
So we had a slight issue with the experiment plan but nothing major. She started showing deficiencies of some sort, I posted pics on the RIU forums but got no reply. So I added another half tablet and top dressed with fresh fox farm soil. That seemed to slow the problem way down and we're back on track. If all 5 of my plants were in a beauty contest, the experiment plant would place 3rd in my opinion. I'm not upset with the results at this point. Buds are fat and over all appears healthy. The smoke report Will tell the rest of the story.
By the way the picture of the experiment plant is the very top picture in this post and the plant closest to me if you were wondering.

Sorry guys, life happens and I had to focus on more pressing issues. So never logged back on to update on the smoke report. This was my last grow. But im back now. to some degree at least. Trying my hand at mushrooms right now. But I dont remember what the dry weight was but what I do know is that I had some straight FIRE smoke for the next few months. I miss these beauties. 1 day (hopefully sooner rather than later) I'll start another grow.
