i've germed hundreds of seeds. these were from speakeasy a few years ago. i always pop along with other packs. the sincity zummy bearz are nearly all cracked. archive pie face 10/12.
just paper towel in a ziplock to crack em then into soil.

Think this might be the first complaint I’ve ever read about Karma. They could still germ. Hit up Karmas site and see what they say is all I could say. If they don’t germ that is. If you snagged Pollen from those BX2 shoot me a DM.

Yeah even 10 or 20 year old seeds still easily germ if done right. Most people never do what should be done. Always place old seeds directly into clean mixed soil that's already wet. They will germ every time.

20 year old seeds do not "easily germ" because you put them in bloody soil. It has much more to do with how they were created, stored and inherent genetics.
The strain in question is sour d which is well known to produce super small, pale seeds. Ive grown Karma's sour and headbanger so i know from experience. You germ 100 of those line bred seeds and 100 from a polyhybrid, I guarantee the latter is hitting a higher percentage of the time.

i bought these in 2019 and they were very high demand at the time so i didn't bother askin for replacment, pretty sure that wasn't happening.
these still have a chance to germ, but its been about 48 hrs in paper towels now and only see about 2 cracked.

i used to do direct sow but had a run of seeds that didn't crack so i like seeing the viable seeds before planting now

Oh I definitely agree you have to store them right for seeds to germ correctly. Always store them in air tight containers then place them in another container that is filled with rice they will last forever. I've germed seeds that are 15 or so years older easily. Sometimes in soil or sometimes in Rockwood cubes then right into soil both are the same.
Yeah I've had that happen a time or two it's because the outer shell is to thick and needs to be either shaved down using a altoids container lined with sand paper. Place the seeds in there and roll them around so it shaves some of. You can also once planted into the soil or rockwool cube and it doesn't germ for a few days open it back up remove the seed if you're good enough using a needle from a sowing kit at the top of the seed slide inside of the seed and crack it open a little. Then place it back it will continue to germ. I've done both.
Thats how to do it but they need to be stored ok to be still viable ive popped seeds at 20+ in soil with ewc imo is the way to go with old seeds too if they aint old i use paper towels its only with the older stuff or actual p1 landrace il pop straight in dirt cos well its what works best ime

Nice. Yeah, I thought, 2009 Karma Stock I’d be happy with all males. If you’re just pheno hunting I get it. Lots of people have projects with Karma gear so even if you just get some males again I’m sure you could trade that pollen for F2s or cuts of his gear. Overgrow and Discord would be good places. The classified here too. You can manually crack the casing have you tried that? I’ve had that work. I see you’ve been on here for a minute so I’m sure you’ve read a lot so really just good luck.

yea i took a little break for a bit and trying to restock my stable hence the popping of the karma seeds. im thinking after tonight ill try manually crackin the unopened ones. the other 3 packs i popped are like cracked w/ tails. any discords you could invite me to? im not too stressed about making F2s i think if i dont find a keeper with what im selecting thru ill try and scoop a real sour clone instead. i seen a guy on strainly looks like he has legit cuts.

Check the discord thread for links. A few people on here can point you to better trade servers. I left a lot of them recently. I don’t want to be a part of anymore sour debates either so good luck on that too bud. I’ll post the potcast with karma and he speaks on all that better than I can. I hope you get the headbanger to germ, then I’m sure you’ll get a keeper out of that. Karma would probably replace if you’re EU but in the states idk and after even only 4 years it’s kind of, you know.
