Katsu seeds

just email me if you need anything brother
Katsu, just ordered some Dracarys, really looking forward to it, I typically either press flower or WPFF Ice Hash and press that for Rosin almost exclusively, which of your strains, new ones included, would have the best rosin yield from Ice Hash/Pressing Flower (grabbed Dracarys based on your description of it being good for rosin) but after reading this thread am thinking that I may have been better served another of your strains?

I have run B.O.G. gear (god bless his soul) for decades and now that he's passed am trying some other old timers gear, the GG4 in Dracarys has Sour Dubb in it, which I am familiar with, so I grabbed it, but the Wedding Cake x Burnt Toast (wedding cake is a BOG descendant as well) really sounded good to me too, just not sure what direction to go, any guidance from anyone would be great. Picked up a pack of Exotic Genetix Slippery Susan (Tina x Grease Monkey) also, looking forward to trying my first femmed seeds.

I am just starting to smoke the Key Lime Kush I just harvested. Nope no 6 month cure for me LMAO. Both have a middle of the road high. One leans a little more to indica than the other. Perfect for midday weed.

One of the things that is the most interesting about this strain. How can the coffee smell which is strong, have a lime after taste. This stuff is going to be really good in a few months. Terpene profiles have proved to be very good with the Katsu strains I have grown so far.

Good thing, I have a tent in veg that is 80% Katsu gear. I am running some of his new Romulan and Og hybrids along with his Dracarys.

How many days from flipping to 12/12 are you guys harvesting these bubba crosses? i know he recommends 56-70 but is that from the flip or is it from when they actually start flowering? right now my girls are under 1100w of DE HPS. The bubba sis is finishing fast. thinking i should turn down to 900-1000w in a week and maybe even toss in the 10k MH finisher bulb in a couple weeks. im on day 50 from 12/12 now.

I keep track of both dates normally. When I switch light time and when they show buds. It is normally around 2 weeks average. So many strain finish at different rates. I find it is easier to just harvest when I think the plant is ready. I do make sure that time is after suggested flower time. I harvested Key Lime Kush just before and right after day 65 from when they showed buds. I harvested my Xanadu around day 80 and it should have went a bit longer.

The 2 weeks difference between when I switched the light and when they showed buds. Really isn't enough time to screw up most strains. Harvest windows are bigger than most people think. Lots of others here have grown more of Katsu's gear and may have better info.

First grow I took Sour Bubba's at 8 weeks. Was a little early. Second grow I took Dracarys and Sour Bubba at 10 weeks. Much better quality and quantity. Seems like the Dracarys really shined towards the end :blsmoke:

Nice, yes pre98 crosses are at their best when you let them go their full weeks imo. So how did the Bubba turn out then?

Sour Bubba was a good all around smoke. Great for when you've got shit to do. But the Dracarys was incredible. You can feel the glue on that first hit :bigjoint: It's a kick you in the head and send you to space kind of buzz. One plant had a grape rock candy and melon smell. Top notch smoke.

Sounds great, like one should get that Dracarys then :eyesmoke:

just to chime in on my experience with Katsu gear, as everything I've grown in my two runs to date has been from him

Sour Bubba - popped 5/6 of these fem seeds with three in the first run and two in the second run. Had one major, major winner among the first three that I think was pretty Sour Diesel leaning - lots of gas and citrus notes. Super balanced hybrid high. Some of the best weed I've smoked. Other two in that run were very similar phenos, but wouldn't say I had a good read on their quality since those were run outdoors unlike the first and I ran into some moisture issues at the very end. I think these had a big more Bubba in them. Not quite as distinct. For the two seeds that I popped for my next run, one was very squat and kush in structure but still had the SD nose of my first round winner. Second branched a bit more and got EXTREMELY purple in the final month. Unfortunately both of these were affected by a light leak I only discovered very late in flower and they both revegged a bit and weren't really smokeable. I blame this on myself, not Katsu.

Dracarys - got three of these fems as a freebie from DC Seed Exchange and popped all three in my first run. One was an absolute home run, I think leaning more towards the Bubba side. Strong purpling at the end, good yielder, amazing coffee and chocolate earthiness to the smoke, warm and fuzzy and relaxing indica high. The other indoor plant wasn't quite as distinct and I later realized it was affected by the same light leak issue I mentioned before (red LED from a power strip) - didn't reveg but took a loooooooooooooong time to finish and hermed a bit at the very end. The third seed was outdoors and was a monster of a plant with huge yields. I think this one was more GG#4 dominant with big glue and gas notes to the smoke, pretty balanced high. I would gladly run two of those three plants again. Great cross as many have said.

Old School Dank (The White x Romulan) - popped two of these so far. Both plants were very similar in structure - stretchy and branchy compared to to the Bubba crosses. Not huge yields due to some issues with my grow and wide internodal spacing (probably also affected by using 3000K lights all the way through) but super vigorous and healthy plants, very easy to grow. One of them has super smooth and piney smoke that I absolutely love. The other is markedly more potent and is funky and rotten and dank as all hell. Both heavy indica smokes. Not familiar enough with the parent strains to place either pheno on the spectrum. Not sure if I'll run these again since I've now got a pile of Bodhi packs calling my name and am better set up to accommodate regs and cloning keepers.

I've also got a freebie pack of Chocolate Lava Cakes that I'll probably pop at some point since this seems like a decent bet for finding some more of that Dracarys magic.

Just started a run with Dracary and Bubba Sis both looking great very happy with them. Had 10 from 10 pop with the Dracarys and 1 from 5 with the Bubba Sis, had room issues and root rot in those but got cuttings before root rot had set in, fixed the ventilation and started with the cuttings.

These are 4 weeks from the day I took the cuttings to make them.
