KC Brains Mango Report

I grew out a pack of 10 mango from kc and one female was awesome. Fat red and purple buds and extremely easy to grow. Kc brains is old school and has good genetics IMHO but I'd only grow his gear outdoor. The potency wasn't super strong but it still was far from crap.

Yes and the reason you got owned is because you bought a 5 pack of Feminized instead of a 10 pack of regular dont even think about buying feminized seeds unless you know how to handle them Kc Brains is a Legend and rightly so his Regular seeds are always amazing esp for 20 bucks for 10 seeds. Its a way better value to just buy 20 regular seeds for the same price as you payed for the 5 feminized. Do your homework before you bash a legend. P.S. : 99% of Feminized seeds go haywire when they have an overly stressful life.

this was the first strain i ever grew...bought a regular ten pack, germed 8, sprouted 7, 1 died, two were male, all females were completely different (very unstable), none were potent, though one yielded very well...the buds smelled like sour tropical fruit and socks, and were very very big, but not as dense as I would have liked. Also, a lot of the calyxes turned purple towards the end of flowering. I crossed that high yielding mango with Arjan's Haze #2 (second strain i grew) which was just downright terrible to grow and smoke...the cross was ok, smelled much better than either parent, not uber potent, bit ok...not good enough to grow again any time soon.

That is a pity because I have had nothing but good from them. I first grew KC36 about six years ago. It was fantastic and impressed a lot of people. I'm about a month to six weeks from harvesting my KC45 at the mo. They never had a problem with hermies until they started feminised seeds- solution? For godsake people, stop buying feminised seeds; it screws with the plants genetics! If there is no demand then the problems will go away.

Mindbender is next on my list. I won't hear anything bad said about KC Brains, I've had nothing but good from them. I just wish people would stick to producing feminised seeds for their own use instead of screwing up everyones genetics.

I've had great results with KCB too. I grew the KC 36 6 years ago, and the mango about 2 years ago. The 36 was awesome very good at painrelief the mango I cracked 10 got 8 I think and got 2 completely differetn phenos. Once was great, nice and frosty good high, the other was smaller and no were near as frosty. I ran the better pheno for a few harvests before I dropped it form the line up.

I also wanted to say that its really a shame when people make judgements of a whole company, strain, method, techinique or whatever your gonna bash with VERY LIMITED experiance with them. Had the OP germed a large amount of seeds, and had the same results I might understand the attitude, however you only grew out 4 seeds, and the hermies could EASILY be your fault not the breeder! Lets try to keep a level head and not give new growers a false idea of a company that many others have had great success with!

Grew a couple KC Brains Mango cuts from Blue Sky Cafe in Oakland back in 2010. It was special, after every hit would give the most incredible body buzzing sensation.
