Keeping Cool

Not keeping my girls as cool as I would like.

So I was talking it over with my Son.

I told him my plan. I said turn my Fan around so it is blowing room temperature air into the Tent. Take the Filter off so it will blow easier. Run a Hose between the two Tents. Have Fan with Filter pulling out.

My Son says just open the Tent. He has no Fans. He said only time he had trouble is when we took a trip and his Tent was closed up. He said keeps the humidity high and he had Bud Rot.

I'm thinking why have a Tent?

I do have to agree with him on one thing if you run both Tents together you will have Bugs in both Tents.

Sounds like what you guys need are controllers, what brand of equipment are you guys running?

This is what I use to keep my environment in check, can set all types of fan parameters for temps as well as humidity.
They have a cheaper option as well but I haven't tried it.

Well not sure I should buy anything else off them after the letter I sent them telling how I felt about their junk.

Ok how does it work?

Lol you don't like Vivosun? My 4x4 "smart tent kit" is great. The hub connects to an app on your phone so you can tweak all the settings and such.

Their Electronics for me don't hold up after 3 lights I had enough.

I have 6 inch exhaust fan and running it I'm over 80F.

Does this bring the temperature down?

Your going to need to keep your "lung room" fairly cool to keep your 700 watts under 82 degrees inside of a tent. I'm not sure where you live but maybe a dehumidifier is a must on your climate as well?

HMM I have no other place in the house. Sheds and Garage are out, plus they get much warmer.

I'm in Missouri Ozarks but most time my Humidity is ok. Actually have more trouble in the Winter when it is very dry.

Also where I have them is the only place I can legally have them so have to make it much cooler.

If I do this my Tents should be cooler.

Ok Son says while his light is on he opens the Tent a little. He has no exhaust fan and he says his don't get out of the 70's.

Others might disagree but tents are for drying in and rooms are where you grow weed in my opinion i hate not having enough space to work with obviously towards the end space is tighter regardless but in tents its ridiculous unless you growing in a tent the size of the room in which case its kinda almost self defeating plus with rooms you can set up better vents that are hard fixed and more efficient rather than using more flexy crap or plastic stuff needs must with that stuff imo

I'd have to fill my 9L humidifier twice a day to keep an entire room at 60 percent humidity at 82 degrees. It's nice to only fill every third day or so in the tent. And I don't want my entire room 82 degrees. And I don't want a whole separate room for mother's and clones. Come to the tent side lol.

So what the difference between your sons grow and yours?

Location?
Lighting wattage?
Equipment?

No offence to your son but it's literally pure luck he doesn't lose every crop and can produce anything of value.

At the end of the day 82f is great.
But if you want less of a temp rise you need more air exchange or less wattage.
Unless your fan just isn't any good at doing the advertised job. Some fans on the market will not do what they are sold to do.
Or maybe you just aren't measuring the air temp correctly?

An open room will have more passive air exchange, more heat loss and be a lower temperature.

So if that's the direction you want to take then go for it.

You'll lose a lot of light from lack of reflection, unless you counter that.

My Son gets everything from me but he don't use everything.

Everything I mean soil, seed,Pots,Tent, Light everything. He even uses the same water but don't check the PH.

Actually he does pretty good except for him saying he don't have bugs but he has no idea what to look for.

I have two different fans and have had the same problem with lower Wattage Light.

I have one Light that I have been having trouble with. I have tower fans in each Tent. The room is actually kind of dark and I can open a window or have A/C going in the room.

Well we was messing with other plants and my Son says every time I have a plant there is Bugs.

If he don't see a Big Bug eating his plants he don't have any.
