Keeping thieves away

My dogs alert me to potential threats. I sleep in the tent, and spring into action if I hear them bark. It would be sad if my dogs were killed, but not nearly as bad as if my family or myself was ambushed without warning. As far as the gun issue, to each their own...
I believe in Remote locations, Closed lips, Dogs, Motion Sensors, Solar Spotlights, Multiple layers of fencings. Nothing is ripper proof, but it will slow down/deter the lazy ones to target other sites.

amen to that, i pity somebody if they miss with my dog, that and she's a pitbull, that's a can-o-asskickery so you'd better be careful anyways...

Yeah not fun. Only experienced it as a juvenile but the adult courts aren't as forgiving lol.

That's my feeling. I got rid of my gun when I began growing cause I knew charges could be worse, not to mention the headlines (DRUGS AND GUNS SEIZED AT AREA MAN'S HOUSE)

yup, years ago i bought a book co-authored by Rosenthal and some attorney. It was called marijuana, the law, and YOU.
Good stuff, it's waay outdated now, but some of the stuff is still applicable. and they said numerous times, guns are a BIG no-no, unless you want to risk extra time in the bighouse.

Not trying to be a dick but it's an attitude like that which spreads a bad name for pit bulls,

Now they are a restricted breed which sucks

No dog is born aggressive (most) the owner is responsible 95 percent for the animals behaivoir, and while some breeds are more aggressive, it's up to the owner to have the skill todeal with these animals responsibly and protect them and other people (especially children) from situations that put them in danger.

No but seriously. During flowering stay out there in one of these or something similar. When you hear an odd noise that can be accredited to an intruder, rack that shit and see if they still want to try you. Shotguns are preferable because they make a louder noise when racked and the size is also more intimidating than a handgun. And if it absolutely has to be discharged in case of emergency then you will be in a good position for self-defense with one of these. Have fun

ohhhh man, don't get me started. My dog is a rescue, she was returned by two prospective adoptees. I volunteer at the local SPCA, It's a HUGE passion of mine, I've had three pit-bull mixes, and every one of them were the sweetest dogs ever, they were used to babysit children, years and years ago, NEVER did i say i train my dog for aggression, in fact it's one of the STRONGEST beliefs i have.
Also a lot of northern breeds are somewhat naturally aggressive, chows, german shepard, malamute, huskies, etc. The closer they are related to wolves the more issues with attack, generally speaking. Especially when considering animal to animal attacks.
Please, please, don't make assumptions about me.
And after reading many, many dog-behavioral books,(six books and about a total of 4-5 hundred pages) the general consensus with the experts is ANY dog can ATTACK at ANY time. They are animals. My dog is an absolute sweetheart i have a 3 yr old niece and they LOVE each other, but i'd never leave my dog with her alone.
Small things that squeal, run away or cry when attacked are almost irresistible to dogs.
So maybe you need to re-read my initial post, i have re-read it, and find it hard to believe that you were lead to think that i mistreat my dog in any way (or spreading a bad name for her breedmates). All i said was if someone were to mess with my dog, she can take care of herself, not to mention i'm fairly intimidating myself.
so i humbly ask you. why was my attitude spreading a bad name for pits?

A lot of what happens to peoples grows is down to the company they keep .......

Also location. If you are growing in an urban setting off of a main street. Don't be surprised when you hear your dogs barking a lot when the teens are out of school for summer break.

I've laid all night in the jungle on ambush many times in VN. I would rather tap them on the shoulder with the Taliban.
