Killing pollen?

I had a crop go hermit on me late last round. Never did find the pollen sacs on the plant. Should I be worried that there is still pollen in my flower room? Like on the fans, walls, etc? If so, what should I clean it with?

I had the same problem last year.I just cleaned as usual (vac and wipe) post harvest, and had no seeds after that .I use bleach water 1 cup per gal.For what its worth I also use a carbon filter . GOOD LUCK ! :peace:

Hi

I need some urgent advise, ive been growing for years & finally stuffed up & took a clone into my well controlled room. I'm in 4 week flower with 3 weeks to go & I noticed the clone I took in has turned & has dropped pollen, all the other girls look okay but I'm worried.....
I've got some blast hormonal foliage spray Bud wise by bio hort i had sitting around so I hit the room with it... Need some advise, the guys in hydroponic shops know shit & have cost me a heap.

What should I do to avoid the other girls from turning.

Thanks Daz

the girls wont turn, but the hermied clone will pollinate all your buds. chop the hermi down now

Unless you stress the other plants they will not hermie just seed out. Hermie isn't an infectuous airborne disease. It is a gene sequence. Dormant in some and active in others.

so bleach water nutralizes pollen, that's good to know. I was curious how to sterilize a room/tent after using it for breeding.

It is good practice to use bleach inbetween any grow. Mold, pests, and many other problems are avoided by good grow hygene.

Thanks, so the girls that are looking great wont produce seed if next to a hermie even if the got pollen from the hermie so my girls are safe & only the hermie will produce seed.

Another question, my veg room is right next to the flower room, the pollen from a hermie want effect anything in veg if there is no flower to pollinate is this right.

Thanks heaps for your advice

No they can and probably will seed your girls next to them.

As for the veg, the pollen will probably die before the veg plants can form pistils to accept it even if you flipped them to flower.
