Kitten chewed off the tops of my seedlings

The title says it all. I had six seedlings that were only a couple of days old. The kitten got a hold of my White Widow seedlings and took the very tops off. So I have two stems standing proud without the cotyledons. It had to grab the two white widows and not one of the four mystery seeds. They were feminized too! The sad part is that I had a friend watching over everything while I was gone for five days. I get home and I am in their for not even 20 seconds and I let them get wrecked!

Stupid question but they are toast right? I figured I had better at least ask before I pull them and try to germ two more.

I think I have the record for the earliest topping.

If you see any green on the stem let it try to recover.

The only thing "green" is the stem.

I know it sucks... most ppl know that cats do actually like weed, so avoid letting them near your plants

Same thing happened to me in 1971. I lived in a high rise apartment on the 15th floor and had several plants growing on the balcony. The cat got out and finished off all the plants.

My current grow is in my walk in closet on a shelf. My cats can't get to it.

Cats can't help it.

Sorry dude, but if eaten before cods fell off, very little hope of recovery. For future crops, a sprinkling of cayenne pepper will keep all but the most determined pet from eating more than a nibble.

Dude. I've had that happen to me before and that SUCKS a big one.

I would just start over. At least you weren't too far along in the process because that would super suck.

And keep the plants out of the kitteh's way the next time. They LOVE the weed.

Trust me I try to keep the cats and dogs (when flowering, dog hair) out. Cats/kittens have to be the stupidest animals on the planet. He took a ride via my foot across the room and came back for more. No I did not hurt him. Sure wanted to squeeze his little neck though.

I doubt Alice at Nirvana will cover kitten attacks under warranty!
