Hey guys I'm getting really excited and having a hard time not telling all my pot smoking buddy's about my grow so I thought it would be best to make this journal.

Ok so I'm going to list off the things I have so far.

- 600w mh/hps air cooled hood
- 4.5ftx4.5ftx7ft grow tent
-seeds (afghan kush and purple kush)
- blue lab ppm/ec meter
- assorted parts for a RDWC set up later down the road.
- bag of potting soil.

Yesterday marks day 1 I put 1 germinated seedling in a pot.

I will update with pics tonight probably.

Here's a little background information. I am doing this with 3 other people. My brother and mom. My mom has been having a hard time financially for years so this was an idea by me to help my family get back on track financially. This being said I am fortunate to have a house at my disposal for this grow.

That's where my mom comes in on the operation and she is also home alot so ill be teaching her how watch the plants and make sure they live.

My brother is pitching on start up costs with me so that's helps

Here's a picture of my set up so far

Have you grown before?...usually your first harvest or two does not help your financial situation..I hope you succeed ill post a few things that may help..I have your tent size what do you have for exhaust it will get hot in flower, you can fit 9 to 16 plants in there but 16 is tight and a pain, always water with water that has sat out at least a day or two, running one plant will never make you money, find a deal on some flourescents for veg they are more manageable and less cost on energy, use fabric pots and buy your dirt in huge bulk cubes, ditch the dwc unless you know how to do this already or have someone showing you, grow all organic..that's all I can think of off the top of my head and assuming you're a full on noob lol....feel free to pm any questions, I want you to make money man!

I have grown outdoors before with success but never tried indoors before. I don't plan on yielding much my first go around I just want to cover the costs of start up. I have nothing to exhaust heat right now but I can only grow indoors during the winter anyways and heat doesn't seem to be a problem with the room temperature the tent is in being low. My goal is to harvest 6 plants this winter and have around 50 clones ready to move outside for the summer. Our financial status has been the same for a while so it's not getting worse this would just be a bonus if we could start producing some weight.

Good call on the fan..get rid id the mites early, I use a 1:3 alcohol water mix spray it on the undersides of leaves liberally all over, wait five minutes and rinse..do this every three days until your sure they are gone..also for mites they will not reproduce in high humidity so misting them every couple hours while you have mites helps stop the infestation..be careful doing these things with flowering plants however..what did you use? I would still consider using flouros for veg to control stretch and less possibility of issues

Plants seem to be loving everything so far. 1 week in and they are all 3" one growing much faster almost double the size of the others.
