these are how my 2 lights are usually set up.

These are the only nutrients that I use or have ever tried, using the Deep Water Culture method.

Here is the young Kushie Kush seedling, 2 weeks since germintion.

I figured she could use some more moisture so I used an old peanut butter container as a moisture dome !!

So my 2 Free 400 watt HPS high bay lights arrived and they are all rigged up and working so far without any problems.
I have converted them to semi-remote ballasts
It's Time for some really killer bud now !!
30 days left of flower for this batch of kushie kush, hopefully I will se a huge increase in bud development over the next few weeks !!

QUESTION:
What are your thoughts about yield increase??
Will I increase my yield by switching out my 2 x 150 hps for this one 400 watt hps, with only 30 days left to flower??

A very noticeable one I believe, For the size room you have. Your main concern is going to be heat, stay attentive. Keep up the good work!

I won them in a draw from my local hardware store !!
Not too bad for filling out one of those ballotts you see in the store..
I never fill them out, and by chance they were offering 2 x 400 watt HPS high bay lights !!
Hmmm.... Ironic, considering I needed more light No?
So I filled out the ballott and I recieved a telephone call from the hardware store a week later telling me that I won and they would be shipped out to me directly from the manufacturer !!

SO KILLER !!!

I heard that those reflectors you have for the 2x400w are pretty shoddy in light distribution. I have seen some people slice vertically into the metal and butterfly it out so there is more of a footprint for the light. I actually saw this in some old marijuana grow books as well (before there was a hydroponics industry, and people were using shop lights). Just a suggestion

Day 35 Flower Kushie Kush
Well the plant is definately liking the 1 x 400 watt HPS.
She is staritng to develop nice a very nice purple colour on the top of the buds, making the tops of the buds look like they are wearing crowns.
I was going to place my 2 x 150 watt HPS as side lighting, but I thought that I would veg under the 2 x 150 watt HPS instead, and flower under The 2 x 400 Watt HPS.
Probably a much better alternative !!

The smell is incredible.
It smells incredibly like blueberry for some reason when I first open the door to the garden, even when my nose is right up to it it smells potently like blueberry.
But when I touch the bud it smells like crazy purple kush on your fingertips.
At this point, the bud is looking crazy, it smells crazy, It is going to be an excellent harvest, regardless of quantity.

I do believe that I am actually growing a Blueberry X Purple Kush Plant !!
Hmmm... Very Interesting..
I contacted my friend: The grower That I got this specific bag of seeds from who only grows Purple Kush.
He said that he had only grown Blueberry once (which I already knew) in a totally separate room of his house and a couple plants out of that batch turned out to be hermie from all female clones. (he wouldn't grow it again in mass production)
So we are thinking that one of the blueberry hermies must have had nuts and pollinated somewhere in that room, before they removed them from the grow and the pollen was then transferred to the purple kush room somehow and pollenated a purple kush female with the Bueberry Female turned hermie..
He now wants me to send him some seeds back so that he can try growing this strain back out west in BC, (you know give it a test run)
He also informed me that the blueberry was not a very high yielding plant, but the purple kush always yields very well.
They both got me very high !! Very good Medicine !!
I am totally exited more than ever about this grow now !!

Looks pretty nice man. I'd love to dip in the DWC world... Good news is there's always time to try new stuff.

I'm done on random bag seeds personally. They just don't pack the punch of the ordered seeds, although you know the grower so that helps

Come on over, take a dip in the nutrient bubble bath in the hydroponics world known as DWC.

Well I managed to get the 2 x 400 HPS on this sucker..I used an old steel cooking range from down in the basement, it was painted already as you can see in the pictures.(don't worry I am going to paint it flat white).
I Battled the heat for the first 2 days that I put the 2 x 400 HPS on her, What a trip that was !!
Everything is looking like it is back to normal now, She is bursing with even more trichomes now that she is under those 2 x 400 Watt HPS lights.
You will see from the pictures that I took on Monday (day 38), that she was stressing out bad !!

I will take some more pictures of her in the next hour for you all to see where she's at.

Shitty thing I just found out too: My landlord is selling the house and wants me out by march 5th.
It is legal, I already checked into it.
But what the fuck am I gonna Do ??
I have nowhere to put the plant when I move.
Do you guys think it will still be some good shit if I chop it in the night of the 4th, day 49 ??
