There were a lot of very funny moments and although I can't recall them all some of the memories will last forever.

When we got to Sidney hubby was very hungry and wanted some KFC real bad. He left and came back to the motel just furious saying that there was a sign on the door saying that they were temporarily out of chicken. :?

He was so upset so I just told him that its because "The chickens missed the boat." :hump:

The McDonalds out east have something called a McLobster. I wish i took a pic of the sign but forgot.

We passed a place called 'Lick- a- chick':clap:

We passed a town called 'Come Again'

One night we stayed at the fionest motel with a family room and all the luxuries life could offer only to spend the next night in a cabin.

Some cabin.:? I told hubby that it looked more like a tool shed and he said 'yeah and we're the tools'. Well I laughed so damn hard I almost pee'd myself.:clap: cause we sure were:wall:

We passed some biker dude driving a harley on the way back who was smiling and laughing away in the pouring rain.
We both laughed at him and thought he must really enjoy biking and/or be REALLY stoned.

Later on when I went through my pictures I soon realized that he was the one with the long hair and beard in one of the biker photos I took. I have a couple of pics of him and he must have recognized me.

I see, I like, I have never heard of McLobster (sounds dirty, and yes I'm east), and O look at them niceness. That brown dog looks very high... also nice.

I think if I ever see something like McLobster around here, I won't just take a pic, I'll take the damn sign.

apparently they are supposed to be really good , the McLobster. I didn't try one because I don't like lobster and crab and stuff. Not into seafood at all.

My hubby told me about this way back and I didn't really believe him. I thought he was pulling my leg because he often tells fibs just for his own kicks. :?

The trip wasn't an entire flop. Just the planning of the inlaw thing could have been better and we were not expecting the type of weather we had. We took all our camping gear because we would have liked to have gone camping. Our little dogs would have really liked that a lot but some nights it went down to 10 degrees and with my fibro and all, that was far too cold. Plus that little dog got hypothermia for a couple of days. She just shook the entire time.
She's so small that she is extra sensitive. She needs food every few hours also.

For some reason I am drawn to churches although I am not the least bit religious.

Old houses I find quite appealing also but I would not want to live in one as they are difficult to heat but they aged charm is so attractive.

I also like watermills and things like that but did not see many.

Some of these pics I am going to resize bigger and frame and some I am going to turn into some kind of art work. I'm not exactly sure what but I am definitely going to do something.

There are a few things that this trip has done.
#1/ The most important one was that it strengthened the relationship between hubby and i which really needed attention. I was surprised at how well we actually got along on the drive their and back. We only had one argument which I thought was good. :D and that was at sidney cause hubby was extremely tired and I had pms. Oh joy.:?

#2/ It gave us a chance to talk and plan for the future. It takes a really LOT for my hubby to open up. He keeps everything bottled up inside and to be able to get it out of him is like pulling teeth. He often does not even recognise that he has stuffed stuff down without some prying.:-| I knew he was very unhappy at his work which he spends a lot of time at. To be at a job for 15 hours a day and hate it would be horrible and we made a plan for him to get out early...like in 7 years he can retire. Its a good solid plan that could work so we are both excited about it. We both really liked New brunswick A LOT. Not the side that is too close to the border because most of them are french and are totally different people. Have a HUGE attitute problem. The rest of the province is absolutely wonderful. Breath-takingly beautiful and the cost of living is a lot less. The price of gas was higher but that is to be expected.

#3? It gave us a renewed appreciation of our home and what we have. more gratitude for sure. It made us BOTH want to work on our house and home and take more pride in it. BONUS!!!!

#4/ It gave us both inspiration to do some artwork. Thats another thing hubby and I have in common is that we are both artists and love to dabble. In order to do good artwork, one needs to be inspired.
We are BOTH very inspired.

Hey Lacy,

Great thread, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and seeing all your pictures. Thanks for sharing with us :)

I got a chuckle out of the McLobster at McDonalds..... In Hawaii the McDonalds have Spam and Rice meals on the menu. Spam is a staple in HI. I wonder if the Big Macs come on a Crossiant in France

Well I was about 1 hour from you.
The scenery is indeed beautiful and the people friendly enough...if you can understand them. Yes boy.
It became difficult even to understand my hubby after a while and it seems so strange walking into a gas station convenience store only to find a line up of people buying beer. Nobody is in a hurry.....lol....
It was very different thats for sure.

I loved the qaintness of some places and the simplicity but I honestly would not want to live there. There aren't enough trees for me. I LOVE forest and stuff and there is a LOT of barren land.
