The way I look at it, is they ( professional cyclists) at that time were ALL cheats, he was just better at it.
He still is one of the best cyclists that ever raced, in my opinion. I don't endorse cheats, but if you are surrounded by them, I would do the same thing he did, simply to make things even. Morality only goes so far, ask Bill Belichick, that rat bastard.
