Did he put a lot of money into his charity? Yes.
Most of his money? No, it was but a drop in the bucket for him, a tax write off.

When he was first being accused of doping, he went on TV interviews lying about it. Yawn. Big fucking deal. He probably did cheat - so many do. But he also began a campaign to disparage his opposition. He used his clout to get others banned from cycling. He even sued people for slander and won at least one large sum from a newspaper. Sure, Lance had lots of money for lawyers. Some of the people he sued were not rich.

When Oprah asked about suing his former masseuse, "To be honest Oprah, we sued so many people... I'm sure we did." He doesn't even know how many people he's attacked for calling him on his lie. He said to another whistle-blower: "I called you crazy. I called you a bitch. I called you a liar. But I never called you fat." By the way, he did all of those things in the public forum.

I doubt most of his money went to his charity. Seeing the person I see, I doubt he started it with noble intentions and nothing else - his ego, tax write offs, whatever. If he was worried about the good name of his charity, he should have never started this shit in the first place. It sucks for the charity, but to be honest, there are many more charities in need.

I don't give a shit about Lance, either. I really don't Unfortunately, I am exposed to this media circus and pick up facts like this. Our culture puts more worth in people like this, and I'm not just talking cyclists. Wow, he recovered from cancer and won some races. Some people recover from cancer, and go back to teaching our youth or rescuing people from fires.

And now, it turns out that not only is Lance human, he is a bad human. So this is a serious matter for those affected by Lance's behavior. But it really doesn't matter for the rest of us.
