Hes a commercial grower. 50lbs-100lbs year. Check. READ my post. He can pull $150k+ year paying himself going legit. Requirement: Knowledge, motivation and initial Cash/business plan. Colorado? WA? ORegon? Canada? Rolling 50lbs a year and you won't relocate? And you risk impirsonment to something you can simply relocate to do legally? Thats fucking stupid considering he has an option to roll out into a real sustainable business. -What the fuck do I know tho' -And again, modern commercial greenhouses are 4 season, even in Alaska AND the Arctic. (where greenhouse speaking: LEDs are actually a big thing).
No relocation at this time. I'm pretty down. I know I'm not the only person with this kind of area In A non legal state. And as far as risk, less risk than the alternative of going back and forth to cali or something and buying then having to get those 50-100 back home...

Jesus man don't you understand :) Weed is ILLEGAL where he lives. He can't do a single thing you're talking about. He needs to grow indoors, in secret, so he doesn't end up getting locked in a cage. Also all this talk of greenhouses is bs unless you live in an area that's nice all year around (which most people don't).

If he's a decent grower he'll pay for those lights and the rest of his equipment in 1 run.
Thank you

Bring all the money you want to Wa. it will do absolutely nothing to start a commercial grow... all the permits were bought and paid for long ago... Nice dream but it's time to wake up!

I can get 8-10lbs on a 4x8 per year, especially with older teens ready at crop start. 32sq ft.. This is.. 224sq. ft.

50lbs+ PER YEAR. Or these are easily his goals at that sq. footage. It's commercial. Lets not lie to ourselves.

OK.. You are stuck on taking the higher risk, much lower payout method? Dedicated to growing for a career but won't take any optimized path?

FINE. LIGAF ;) Really man, just trying to be helpful. Time will tell how it works out..

I built many lights for fun so far, varying configurations. Covered 4x 4x8s and a 4x4 and some clone space.

Here's useful info if you're gonna do a lot of building:

Per light cost: fixed cost: Aluminum railing, $6, Project box $9, intel fans $3ea (bulk purchase), Uxcells, screws, stranded, plug, o hooks: $10 12vballast $8 = $About 45 per light.
Bravo if you can do it lower.

I still appreciate the low cost vero29's. I hate that they don't run 4x on any cheap ballast. Saving grace is they can run x6 on a HLG-320h-c1400. A $99 320w ballast.. Very cost effective when considering the 96 chips you are wiring. Vero 29 is almost HALF the cost of cree last time I looked.

6x v29 = $150ish at bulk.. $295 per light. You don't need 24, more like 16 (its a 6 light fixture). =$4800.
(building yourself).

These are easy to make with a template. The chips screw right into fins with low tension (no tapping), no need for chip holders with V29's, the intel fans snap click, no need to screw em in, just drill the holes.. Wago and wire everything, done.

Check Supra on clu 3618 on 320-H- 48a I think.. (runs two @ 1400ma) -> These may be even more economical. I plan on building one next week or so.. I'm lazy lately ;)

Bummer for WA. But, How many states legalizing this week?
I've read the MA carefully. Theres no teeth in the legislation that I read for MA.. Under a lot of scenarios you can grow all you want with minimum effort (have enough patients).

The size of grow has nothing too do with it being commercial... If you sell the end product for a profit it's commercial..
Been in a small business my whole adult life.. $$$

I appreciate the advice I really do, it's just not logistically possible to pick up and move as I already have a career path but no one ever got rich working 40hrs a week and I love to grow some killer smoke. I'm a believer In the go big or go home method.

Thank you very much for the info
