the air wont be a prob. i have a large aquarium pum with 1 outlet going to each res. the 1 res has 3 monsters in it with 3 foot roots and its fine. the growth is crazy. dont worry about air. if you dont believe me i can take some pics of the container size and the roots. crazy.

I have a six inch airstone in each black bucket, then I have an airstone that broke in half epoxy-sealed and put in the white buckets, each of those smaller ones are on their own pump. in DWC do you really need loads of bubbles?

the sulpher plasmas run quite hot they break when the rain hits the casing in testing in canada as street lights..read it in the wiki artical..they think they can get them to run cooler though it will take some time..

How is the heat emission on the plasma lights?
Forget those plasma lights. 45 pound ballasts and huge magnetotrons.

THESE plasma lights are better. The bulb itself is the size of a tic-tac and is right on par with 250w HPS lights with better spectrum.

And they're designed for use in enclosed fixtures so I'd assume not that much heat output - the entire assembly is like a giant heatsink for it.

I'd be willing to bet these are expensive. This kind of power in such a small factor cannot come cheaply, especially given the components required to build such a lamp.

oh im sure they wont be cheap..the head alone for the sulpher street lamps are around 4000 usd without the driver !! or pole/installation...

That would be so damn cool for a full tower PC case grow. little to no heat and still have the power for a productive crop:peace:
