I do a 50/50 mix

the medium I use is based on Al Tapla's Gritty Mix (google it 8) )
I read about it on one of your threads. But since I have to pack it in, I only use 1/8th in my mix. If it ever gets to where I can grow it in the garden, I'll add more.

It looks like a couple of the Peach grew into the lights. I can't check on them everyday right now. A couple of inquisitive cousins are at the farm to help with Mamma after her stroke. After this weekend they will be gone. Being able to check on the plants whenever I want is a plus. Being back on breakfast and lunch duty is not.

My seed testers looked a bit beat up when i got home from the BBQ,root bound & nitrogen deficient.I transplanted them out of the solo cups into one gallon pots, hopefully they will come around and i can see if any are worth growing out next season.
My first round was all natural light, so they started to flower when they were really small. I'm hoping to get my Spring crop a little bigger before we have to put them out. I may have to start earlier next year. If I do alright with them, I'm not growing full season's anymore. The longer they are out, the more that can go wrong. I'll pop beans in June and July.

I have put out clones in the past and ended up with one ounce plants good smoke just not much of it. About 30% of the strains i put out in january flowered out ok and gave me a bit of early smoke.I'm going to hide a few plants in an old chicken coup,my room mate wants to grow out a few seeds TMB gave us full season.I'm going to pop a few fem seeds in may for the greenhouse hoping to keep them a bit more manageable.

Of the strains that didn't do well in the Winter, what kind of problems did they have? This is my 1st go round, so I don't know what I don't know.

An ounce per is what I used when I was pitching this Spring crop to my BIL. {we are vegging at his place} He wanted to do 15-20 females each {about a pound}. There are 20 odd of the Peach, then about 50-60 of the younger ones. So even if half are male, that will still be close to what he was planning on. We are vegging together, but will split the plants down the middle, and plant our own patches.

So far the deer haven't messed with the ones I have out. I have a few cages made, but not near enough for all of them. They may be getting enough corn {from me and the rest of the hunters} to leave my plants alone.
