lb per 1000w?

In a 9x9, four LEC 315's (ceramic metal halide) would run cool and fit perfect. 1200w.

You can get CMH bulbs which can be driven by ordinary MH and HPS ballasts. You can get into four of those for about $1k. But, if you have the money ($1.8k), those LEC's are nice. Next best thing to quality LED. You only need 35-40w/sq ft.

Yes a pound per 1kw is possible but i would expect ATLEAST 650g+/1kw.
A room like this will not get far without a grower that knows his shit from years of experience and it will be a hard room to maintain with all that fucking light, i wouldnt even want to fuck with it. Its just too small of an area for buisness like this.
The fact that you aren't even considering efficiency tells us all that You are just dreaming or you really have no clue ! nobody in the right mind will spend money like this without atleast thinking about efficiency (lowering monthly cost) ect.. WhiteBB stated a better option for you that will save ALOT of money without loosing much yield.
He said their bill was about $3,000 per month

I read that average growers can get 1gpw so if I was going for weight wouldn't it be better to have more watts if you can keep temps right? And would 2 plants under 1 of these lights be a problem? a lot of people say like 9 plants per 1000w but that's what someone told me they did and got around 20lbs with 2 under each
Depends what you want to do. If you need weight to sell then I would go perpetual. Set up a veg tent or room and find some good moms. Take x amount of clones every week and put them in that 9x9. Find pots that take up a square foot. That would put you at nine rows of nine. Take 10-15 clones a week. Put the best 9 in that row. so on and so forth. It is complicated to setup but once its running you will have a steady supply.

You could grow monsters or pump out large numbers of single cola clones.

Appreciate it. So a large perpetual garden would be better than growing bigger plants? In terms of amount you get every 3-4 months

Fuck no lol! Were talking 25,000-35,000 BTU for those 12 lights alone and even then i bet that a/c would be continuously pumping whenever the lights are on, thats like 8-9k watts every hour a/c alone!! Thats asuming your outside temps dont exceed 80f. $3k a month is more like 12'000 watts of lights and 5500BTU of a/c. That room will be a fucking hawaiian beach with only 5500btu.

12x12 room....hall way down the center...on each side you can put 3-4x4 flood tables....1 double ended 600w hps over each tray...cooling and heat done with a 30,000btu mini split heat pump.

For the long haul had 40 240w solar panels to juice the lights up and run the heat pump....than retire.

How much could that set up yeild every 3-4 months(assuming I don't make any mistakes)

We use 1 gallon pots and flower when the plants are about 8" tall....24 plants per tray....10 or 12oz usable bud per tray...the lowers are made into kief.
so I guess the math says 5lbs or so per run x 4 runs a year there about.

If you harvest only once every 3-4 months you already made a mistake.

With 6 x 600w hps DE you should aim for 4 kilo per 2months (assuming no 'mistakes', as in an optimal run. About a pound... per week. 5-6 harvests per year depending on whether you can set up a small clone space. Everything changes of you waste time vegging seeds to mature plants of course.

Could I just buy the clones? Would I yeild more if I used 6 1000w DEs?

If you can find a reliable supplier that sells them for fair rates that's an option.

And yes, you can yield far more if you use 1000w. Even more if you boost it to 1100w. Doable but pushing it in that space. Would require some bud site planning and canopy contol to justify the 1000watter on 4x4. It's easier to get 1gram per watt with 1000w on 4x5 or more. The gavita 750 (run on 825w mode) would be a better fit. (All assuming fandango's suggestion of the 6 x 4x4 tables with 1 light per table). If max yield from 4x4 is the goal then 600/660 is not enough.

So now you're an "investor" and not the "owner"?
The original statement was calling whoever invests in a business and lets others run it is a fool. I told him that's a venture capitalists whole career and they are not fools. That was my point. I wasn't sayin I was a venture capitalist. But you invest FOR equity. If you have at LEAST 51% equity you're considered the owner. But I don't know why so many people are stuck on this. If you don't believe me that's fine it doesn't matter either way and has nothing to do with my question
