Leaf Spotting, Top Cola, WTF?! HELP!

Alright, i check my plants today, and they had these spots on them. I found them yesterday with spots, but not as big or as many. I don't know what the problem is. Please Help.

i'd say check really good for spider mites...i never had the problem b4 but seen pics with spider mites so that may be it

Too close to your lights I'd say - I got that, was the fan blowing part of my plant against the CFL.

i fort da same - too close 2 light = high tempz = burn spotz!

if those are burn spots then the only way u got it is from foliar feeding..if u dont foliar feed its not a burn..check for spider mites

Ah ok, I'll check it in the morning after the lights turn back on. I haven't seen any other signs of any type of pest since I've started this grow so I'm surprised.
I was thinking it might be heat stress since I've been having a problem regulating heat in my box around 90F. Or some type of defficiency.

Looks like the heat is affecting them right enough, is it only at the top of the plant? Have you been foliar feeding up there, and if so, check the strength, and consider when the optimum time is to use it and ensure the droplets don't sit on the leaves and act as a magnifying glass in bright light, add a wetting agent to your foliar feeds of course to aid quicker absorption, low light level application, before or after light period, this is awkward in a grow room during flower I know, either pitch black, or dazzling light, although I see on e bay a gadget one can use to see safely in the dark a bit, a green emitting light which apparently doesn't affect the dark period in an adverse way, allows maintenance at an awkward time. Spider mites are a nasty problem if it is, you can actually see the little buggers through a decent magnifier glass, little whie dots moving around!! also there will be some very fine web around the leaves, especially underneath. There are treatments for spider mite, some organic, like neem oil, or of course much harsher chemicals, there are a lot of claims out there, so if you have to try something make sure that it has at least good write ups, many of these solutions have mixed results, some are reported as being ineffective against spider mite, as I said they can be a nasty problem, in your case best hope is to control them as much as you can and race to the cropping post, however, it is unlikely to be them imho. As your heat is an issue, s you mentioned, and it is a recent developement, it is likely that this is specifically relevant.

a heat problem would mess up all the leaves not just the top thats y i said check for spider mites..the light being to close could burn the top one but i've done it and it doesnt look like urs..im not really sure good luck tho bro

looks just like yours. Almost no matter what the problem is, you've got to start with knowing your PH.

If it's a CFL grow it can look like that from the heat, at 1/4 inch from a CFL tube you get temps around 130F which quickly dissipates to about 85 at 1" so it can be deceiving. Dunno what he's growing under though. Anyways mites are visible to the naked eye if you look closely so he shoulda found em by now... or something.

cfls dont got temps around 130..i got a 600watt hps with cfls and uvbs for side lighting and i got the cfls and uvbs actually making contact with some of the leaves and never got burns sooooo what the hell u talking about?

This is a 26 watter, and you're right it's more around 190-220 on these little guys.

it looks like mites to me..see those white spots on ur leaves..thats telltale of mites..how to no u have them...by this point if u got white spotting ...(if it truly is mites)...uve already been infested..check the bottoms of afflected fan leaves..you'll c small brown dots looks like this. . . . . . . . . . . try to watch them move..better yet check them in the same scope u use to check ur trichs. if it is this which id say homegrown is right...u need to act quickly. check my journal towards the end to see my current battle w/ these lil fkers.

who gives a damn what the temp is of a cfl i put cfls right on the leaves almost touching usually a inch away or touching the tips of the leafs and dont get burns spots or stunted growth from a heat issue

yeah ive never seen white spotting indicitive of cfl lighting to close..heat stress mimicks ph problems not insect 1's

try to test you ph i have spots like that its not heat or mites might be ph to high

I have recently just got over a nasty spider mite problem and if the spots are only on the upper leafs it is not a spider mite problem. The lower leaves will be affected the most by the yellowish dots on the leaves which will eventually spread to the upper part of the plant. If they are mites look for very small bugs with a black dot on them on the underside of the leaves, also look for spider web looking stuff at the base of the plant. If u do find mites, a good remedy yet very strong is floramite. Use a very mild dosage with warm soapy water for up to five days in a row to kill all mites and their eggs.

sorry I haven't been on in a while, laptop died.

But no there are no spider mites at all, no signs, no eggs, nothing.

I think it just might be a pH problem then. I struggle with my pH because my tap water is 7.9pH so any water that I use always has to be treated with pH down so it varies per gallon I make and whatnot. I try to keep it between 6.4-6.8 when I do it.

I've had my plants burn before when they've actually touched the lamps, but I didn't really think it would be the heat this time because I've been keeping an eye to make sure they don't get too close and touch again.
