Leaves curling up and looking strange? Help please :)

Hi Guys

Just had a close look at my garden and noticed that some of the plants have strange leaves compared to the others. They seem to be curling up slightly from the edge to the centre, and look almost a bit rough to touch (only way I can describe it).

I am growing under LED using the following nutrients in veg

A&B
Rhizotonic
Mag/Cal

My temps with lights on 22 Celsius and 17 with them off. I realise I need to get this higher.

I have attached photos below.

Could anybody please advise what could be causing this? I’m thinking a possible deficiency of some sort?

Thanks in advance

steve

They look like they’ve had some cold nights. I’m currently fighting cold temps as it’s below freezing here. I use a 250watt desk heater on a timer right by the intake filter, which turns on right before lights off and heater off right after lights on, and my night temps stay above 68F/20C. I would get the temps up over a couple days with a heater, preferably lower wattage that stays on and doesn’t cycle, adding the same amount of heat in BTU’s that is leaving the grow space, to have a stable temp over all. They’ll bounce back within a week or two.

Hi guys, I’ve halved watering and temps are bang on but not seeing any change? Any ideas?
Well, in the post above you said the temps were 22c = 71.6 degrees F with lights on, and 17c = 62 degrees F with lights off.

This is in my experience way too cold to expect any significant growth. The temps with lights on should be at least 25c to 28c and never below 20c with lights off. Otherwise, they will struggle.

Also, what is the humidity level?

thanks for the response.

temps are now 20 with lights off and 25 with lights on, there or there about. This is my 7th garden now and I usually get around 18 lights off and 28 on and get great resists.
Humidity sits around 55%.

I have been reading into possible magnesium defiance however I am supplementing with Magne cal?

thanks for your replies

I use cal-mag with every water, whether fertilized water or plain water, I always use cal-mag, 5 ml per gallon. Good luck!

I’m not an expert grower by no means but what I can see there are a couple different issues it could be , first thing I notice is the ridges between your veins , usually that’s a environment stress , (temp ) and the color is showing signs of either a Magnesium or the beginning stage of N deficiency. For me it’s been tricking learning the stress symptoms for nut problems and environment. Right or wrong may be something to look into. Happy growing .

Steve1989, are you watering to runoff? Might have nutrient lockout on those few plants.

Are all the troubled plants in the same section of your grow?
