Leaves like claws

Hello RIU
So i got this problem, which i think is overfert problem. I had the Lemon skunk plants in smaller pots when problem started, and i had used vegetative fertelizer few times (but the fert mix had been sitting there for a quite long time)
Anyway i did flush the plants was very salty yellow water coming out. I transplanted them in bigger pots and now from 1st october theyr in flowering. But the new leaves still come out clawing, they are soft not crispy.
Temperature is good, sometimes it can get to 29,5-30 C but i dont think its the problem ussually the temps are good. Humidity is between 35-50 higher when lights out.
Havent tested PH i will ask my friend for a tester and test on next watering. I also have spidermite problem but im fighting them.
My question is will those leaves turn back to normal if it was overfert problem?

I've had the same issue when I've overfed my hydro plants- it isn't too much fert, it is too much water and the roots are getting choked out. Let the medium dry thoroughly before you feed again and that should keep it from getting worse. Depending on how long the leaf has been like this, it may not fully recover- it will still be green and healthy until harvest, but will still have the claw look. Keep an eye on new growth and if the claw leaves get too crispy or burned, go ahead and pull them off. Hope that helps, good luck.

Ya know, I've been growing a strain called Crystal, for about 10 months now, and still have that same exact problem you are having. It's not overfert, or PH, not to my knowledge. I've posted a couple threads here, and never got an answer, other than "overfert". The thing is, it'll happen when they haven't been fed at all, for weeks. It also happens when they have been fed. I actually have this problem right now, and here's what I've recently come up with.....

...I think it's wind, heat, and humidity related. I think I've finally noticed the common factor, when it happens. It seems to happen at those places where my oscillating fan pauses, and reverses direction, keepking a steady breeze blowing on them, longer than the rest are receiving. That, combined with humidity in the 40% and under, range, and temps in the low-mid 80's, seems to do it. It's also strain-dependent, effecting only the Crystal, while the others are unharmed. It's been that way since the beginning, 6-8 runs ago. I'm assuming that Crystal is extra-sensitive to it. All I know is that in my case, it's not overfert, underfert, or PH. That's what I have so far.

Sound possible?

Hey, thanks for that perspective. Sounds like it ties right in to my own theory, although your's may be the core problem, while mine only aggravates it further. Now that I think about it, Crystal is very sativa-like, while all my other strains are mostly indica, with wide fans leaves. Hmmm...now this is all starting to make sense, even further. Thanks bro, + rep to ya. :leaf:

I also have no problems with indicas indoors, lemon skunk is mostly sativa, well it takes 10-11 weeks to flower. I have low wind low humidity and 80-85 temperature. Next grow will be Hindu kush i loved my Bubblelicious and Diesel Ryders. 2 days ago i bought 150w HPS so i hope for fat lemon skunk buds, i may start journal when buds will start appearing. I have smoked this strain before and the taste is bomb the smell just like lemon, its so citrus taste on it. But it smells like hell when growing.

Thanks guys, glad I might have helped. I ran across this on two different grows I had in rockwool. On my first grow it showed up and I freaked out because I thought I overferted . . . so I flushed hard. And it only got worse. So I flushed some more, and it didn't help. I gave up for a few days, thought about my time and money invested, about losing the crop, etc. I checked back 3 days later and they looked great. I tried it again on the next grow with a "test group" and they showed the same thing when over-watered. I'm sure there are other causes of the claw out there, but that is the one I can confirm with first-hand panic. Good luck with the grows.
