hey guys,
you think this is caused by room being too hot or light bring too close to plants? or neither? any help would be appreciated. btw, out of 35 plants, there are only about 10 leaves that are doing this. room is usually about 78 degress (87 when co2 is on- 15 minutes per hour for 4 hours).

it could be the leaves moving towwards the light or prob away way from the heat.
what light you got and how far away are your plants.
are they plants or clones?.
any more pics?.

i am using a cooltube with 2 1000w MH bulbs. the cooltube is 6 inches away from the top of the tallest plant and is being cooled by 8 inch inline fan. i did the wrist test and my wrist is comfortable when i have my wrist on top of the plant. they are plants starting 3 weeks of veg. here is a picture of some of the plants. thank you for the reply!

EDIT: cooltube is 15 inches away, not 6. i dont know where i got 6 from lol...

Well they dont look heat stressesed, or burnt. Personally i wouldnt worry about this too much just keep a close eye on the plants which are twisting leaves... see what happens in the next day or two, oh and where are these plants located and are they together? i.e in the middle of the grow room directly under light or towards the edge? It may help if you rotate some plants from the middle tho the edge and then some from the edge to the middle, Keep us updated..
Good luk

yeah it seemed like it was the ones in the middle row since that is how the cooltube runs, but there are maybe 1 or 2 on the ends of the table that showed the curls. i rotated one from out the middle to the edge to see how it turns out.

this one. at the top int he middle it looks like some leaves have a lighter shade to them inbetween the veins,. or a flash.
how old are they. i like my ph higher than that, more like 6.5. for soil

i think that is from the bulbs, ever since we switched to bigger paper plates to cover the rockwool, you can really see the light moving with the light mover we have. sorry i forgot to mention that i am a hydro setup in 6" rockwool slabs.

your plants are looking awesome for 3 weeks veg, nice and bushy. my leaves started twisting because I adjusted the lighting, I had them about 2 inches from the tops and moved them about 8 or 10 in. away, thats when they started twisting and turning sideways trying to reach the light. good luck..

thanks, i am quite happy with the results so far, other than a few little things here and there. i thought it may be stress from the lights being too close, but like i said, the lights are in a cooltube with an 8 inch inline fan vented outside and a light mover so i dont THINK the lights being too close is an issue. hopefully someone with some knowledge can chime in! lol

sorry man, I think i confused you with my wording, what I meant to say was I think their twisting because your lights are to far away. mine started doing that when I moved my lights 8 inches away, when I put them back to 2 in. away the leaves went back to normal.but your right, lets leave it for the pros, lol, sorry for the confusion.... :peace:bongsmilie

lol i didnt mean to say you didnt have experience or anything so sorry if it came accross that way. i was just saying someone who has had this problem and was knowledgeable about it. in any case, my lights are about 15 inches away, maybe i should bring them down a bit? im kind of nervous to do that tho, but i guess i can try it and just monitor it real well and if i see any kind of burn i will pull them up immediately.

5 4 ft. standard floros (growlux) and cfls since I only have 3 plants I keep the compacts about 2 inches from the tops and they have been growing about an inch a day. Im planning on getting some hps 400 watters or so for flowering but for now there going great (I think) for standard floros....
