Leaving for 3 days need advice.

I am going out of town for 3 days. Ok so i am growing hydro and have a box that does everything itself so i know my ladies will be fine on their own for 3 days. However i have another little soil grow going on upstairs from some clones i cut off my girls in hydro. I have a 600 watt hps. Anyway i have a few plants that are in veg and will be fine for 3 days alone under 24 hour light but i also have a sour diesel that is like 6-7 weeks into flower (its a small plant mabye get a half ounce its for personal) and i manually take this plant out of the closet every night and put it into another dark closet to recieve its 12 hours of darkness. However i am leaving for 3 days and wont be able to manually mvoe the plant. What do you guys suggest. Leave it under the light for 3 days straight this far into flower or leave it in the dark for 3 days. I have heard some people leave their plants in the dark for 3 days straight to speed things up or becasue there is some advantage and i feel that leaving my plant in the dark would probly be better for it then leaving it under 24 hour light for 3 days this far into flower. Let me know your opinions and what you guys would do. Any advice appreciated i am leaving in a few hours so would like to know what to do thanks.

Buy another timer and a cheap light (CFLs?) and put it under 12/12.

Not much you can do at this point to keep it "healthy". Three days of darkness will not do the plant any good. Also, that much light that far into flowering will stress the plant and will take her out of flowering.

I dont think 3 days would take it out of flower by any means especially since its 6-7 weeks into flower and why would the dark harm it i know it wouldnt be good for it but can u tell me what it would do thats so bad that i shouldnt leave it dark for 3 days?

Better to have 3 days of darkness than 3 days of light at this point. But you REALLY, REALLY should run out and get a timer. They're only like 5 bucks. its sooooo worth it for you to do this, otherwise your just shooting yourself in the foot. It'll make things easier for you anyway

You are better off putting it in another room that simply gets sunlight.... then at least you will be closer to what it is used to.

Ok good idea thats what i will do with the sunlight i have 10 timers lol thats not the problem i have Only 1 light that is on for 24 hours since there are other plants in veg under it. i could probly fit the plant in my mothership which is on 12/12 light cycle but my plant upstairs goes dark at 11:30 pm and wakes up at 11:30 am my mothership goes dakr at 10:30 am and wakes up at 10:30 pm so that would be flipping the schedule 180 degress which i dont know how much that would affect the plant but when i got back i could put it back under the other light but not have to switch the schedule 180 degress again since the light stays on all the time i could just keep it on the same scheduleas the mothership light was on. Is that a horrible idea?

Plants left in the dark for too long get sick because they continue to produce chlorophyll and there is no light to synthesize it. They yellow, and get weak and sickly looking. It takes longer for them to come back from it than it does for them to be effected by it.

Some people like to put their plants in the dark for long periods of time right before harvest because it gets the green out (chlorophyll with no light for photosyntesis). They say it makes a smoother smoke. I've never tried it, so I can't say personally. But being that you're not done, that much darkness will do more harm than good.

I like CrackerJax's suggestion if you're not gonna go out and buy quick, cheap equiptment.

[Edit: Damn, you had a place on 12/12 already?! It's a no-brainer! Stick that bitch in there with the rest of the plants flowering! True, flipping the sked 180 isn't the best, but you don't have many other BETTER options at this point.

Never lol well i would cut you down on some of my delicious Sour diesel thats about to be done if you come watch them for 3 days. Its no work at all just move it to a closet and watch the clones i just cut from the big buddah blue cheese and make sure they stay damp. Ill let you keep a clone to since it will turn into an awsome mom since these blue cheese are turning out awsome

I just dont have any other places to put it in to hide it from my roomates lol. My roomates wouldnt care im doing it but i try to tell NOONE. i have some cfls but no where to set them up

whre is it now? you dont have a closet in your room? maybe a bathroom in your room? build a small darkroom out of pvc and pandafilm maybe and set it up in that before you leave? theres many things you could do to make a grow area. find the solution that works best for you, and go for it.

btw its not good to keep people in the dark who are living with you IN THE HOUSE. very few people need to be in the loop ... but if your growing in the first place with them there, they should be trustworthy, therefore they have a right to know that your growing under their roof.

I do have a closet in my room but there is a 600 watt hps in there that stays on 24 hours straight i also have a big bc norhern lights mothership hydro grow box in my room. I dont have any other places in my room to setup the cfls i would have to do it out of my room and i dont want someone opening a closet and finding my girl which is nice and dense and smells funk and has tons of crystals and is like 1-2 weeks away from being done and fucking with it or taking it. I dont have time to build a little box for it. Its either going in my mothership and swithching to the light cycle those plants are on or its going to sit out in my room and get natural light like crackerjax suggested.

Ok my brother is the only one who knows about it and he just said he will be back in town monday so he can take care of them monday when he gets back. So really its tonight and tommorrow i have to worry about so mabye 2 days of darkness isnt that bad? Or mabye just leaving it out in natural lights for 2 days would be that bad either and it can get back to that hps in 2 days when my bro gets in town

i have a sheet over my mothership and a mini firdge on top and noone has ever asked they think its a dresser or something and i keep my closet door closed i rigged some good circulation and fans in their so the door can stay closed and not get to hot. I also have a deadbolt on my door for when im not home and i dont have people just chillen in my room as i take all the precautions that should be taken when growing illegally. I have a living room if someone wants to chill smoke and hangout we can do it down there lol.

But yes, CrackerJax is right. Two days in natural sunlight will do less harm than total darkness for that long before your brother can hook you up.

OK plus rep Crackerjax that is what i will do natural light cycle for 2 days cant hurt but so much. I wish i would of known about leaving town sooner so i could of taken care of this but my grandfather just had his cancer spread and i need to go visit him now before it gets to bad and he is way more important than these plants. Especially since they should be fine on their own for a few days. The trick is when i go to visit him in florida from the 5-14th and take him to his doctor appointments and everything (I Live in Virginia). I guess i am going to have to trust someone and tell them so they can take care of my girls for me. I dont want to do this but i have people i can def trust with anything its just goes against my grow eithics i dont tell anyone not even my best friends untill the product is done. Then i will show and tell my best friends and show it to them when its hanging up to dry.
