Soil:
Pro-mix (70% sphagnum moss, perlite, limestone)

Nutes:
AN Sensi Grow A/B
AN Sensi Bloom A/B
Voodoo Juice
Sensizyn
Bud Factor X
Big Bud
Bud Candy

Lights:
Veg: 42watt CFL 6500k, 23 watt CFL 2700k, 100w Blackstar UFO
Flowering: Hydroponics Hut PG180, Blackstar 180

Here's the lights in use, they're finishing up round 1 at the moment.

Subbed for this. How long do you plan to veg for once they sprout? And is the spectrum on the left panel really that much more blue that the other or is it switched to veg mode?

It's really that blue! That's with both switches turned on, the "veg" mode is even craziest blue, and the just flowering mode is really redish with a ton of white CREE light as well.

how far away do you keep each light from the top...it looks like the Blackstar is closer also which light do you like better...BS or PG?

They're both about the same distance away, but the plant under the BS is shorter. The PG180 is new to me so I don't know it as well, but it is brighter, and the build quality is far better.


I'm going to veg them for probably 6-7 weeks from yesterday. I'll see how big they get and how the LST works...

The 2 lights combined are about 270watts actual power draw, my fan is 113 watts, but I run it at 1/2 power. I don't need any cooling other than my fan, so that cuts down on those costs too.

So would you say they are better then a hps/mh?

In terms of power saving? Most Definitely.

I don't have enough experience with HPS and MH to judge on quality and yield, but I can say this; the quality I'm seeing so far is exceptional.

Finally saw some pics of some 8 ball kush and it looks super good. looking forward to seeing how the leds treat her. Think you'll be happy with that strain.

I tried germinating them differently this time. Soaked in water for 24 hours, then straight to soil. No paper towel etc, just straight to the dirt!

Good Luck bro! Just thought I'd throw this out there. I soak my seeds with canna rhizotonic diluted water 15ml per gallon. Helps promote germination.

I'm subbed. I'm curious to see which light you like better. I would imagine the PG is nice b/c of the ability to switch modes from veg to flower. I have the 240 watt Blackstar and after 9 days I am loving it so far, but I'm not starting flower for another few days so won't truly know for another 8-10 weeks....

You might be interested to know I am flowering (18 days in) 8 plants under those exact lights - the Pro-grow 180 and Blackstar 180. I vegged them under the same (With great results). I am inbetween grows and set ups, so I didn't practice any LST and dont plan to scrog at this point. I may end up doing very light LST depending on light coverage/penetration as we go, just trimming/pruning thus far. I'm looking to add the PG-550 and use these 2 as veg lights. I'm aiming for 13 oz/harvest when I'm dialed in.

1 month veg under LEDs
Day 18 of Flower
FFOF/30% perlite
Humboldt Organic Nutrients
5 girls are Pandora's Box
3 girls are Sour Bogglegum... had 2 more but they hermie'd.
