LED Grow from Cuttings to Finish

I thank you for your words of encouragement, but I could have easily achieved that with only 400watts of HPS I had 2 of these blackstar lights in a 5ft x 4ft area and I think that is adequate, like I said, I'm truly sorry to burst anyone's bubble but my feeding schedule was spot on and plants were all healthy with no over or under watering, all the ph was perfect every time, the temp were at a constant 25C, the light were at 9 to 12 inches from the canopy. Yes the smoke is good but I don't think any better than my past grows . My whole point is that I would rather replace my hps bulb every 6 months and get more grams per watt, it's simple arithmetic. How many bulbs could I buy for the cost of these LED's. It's all about efficiency and the amount of produce for electricity used, we live and learn everyday and at least I have now learned not to listen or take notice of all the hype :-)
Did you take into account that your light escapes in all directions? Just because your 2 dimensional footprint is 5x4 doesn't mean you're making the most of your light. I know you're trying to do everything in one room but sometimes if you have a smaller, more controlled environment, you can increase the efficiency of your lights.

I must admit that my latest grow under the blackstars is doing very well now, I changed my feeding regime and doing more foliar feeding. Seems to be better for Led's, feeding roots half as much as with HID (still 5.8ph in coco) but supplementing with formulex to foliage feed, works bloody wonders, now need to prop up plants because of the weight. Unfortunately I had to go back to flouros for veg for the time being as 2 of my led bulbs have failed in the veg model, however Victor said he is going to see if he can source a couple from the supplier so I can repair, just my luck, I nearly always buy the dodgy one (haha). Luckily the 500's are OK though

Glad to hear that things are going better. I had a disaster grow myself but the lights didn't contribute to the fail, picking a craptastic soil did. I can tell you that I am having much better results myself growing in a hydro/dwc system that I have experience with. I hope all goes well! best of luck.

Here is a pic of Pineapple chunk under the blackstars , it's about 8 inches long

The buds are absolutely rock solid, no airy feel at all so I'm hoping that because if this they won't lose as much weight when dried, It's only 42 days into flower. All is good :-)

Looks sweet, man. What ever happened to the rest of this thread?
