You are way to hung up on what you read about THC loss and temps. There is fire ass weed grown all across the world in temps over 90 degrees.
no no no, i always specify when i mention this 'in enclosed spaces', that is what the experiment by bugby team was testing. those grow chambers in their videos in the lab

the same clones same season same soil same pots between a friends porch and my mh grow tent revealed this. the tent was literally hotter than hell and the weed was ultra crystally and had the type of skunk that just killed the room no matter how you tried to hide it. seriously deep skunk smell (but with an off putting edge)

the outdoor version was mild and sweet with average crystallization, not pungent at all, not off putting either

the tent weed just gave a headache and the outdoor weed had a great high

ten times out of ten the pictures of the tent weed vs the outdoor weed would win in an online poll, but little do they know...

so yeah, i am a bit retentive about temps haha

@ charles i don't have any fertilizer it's already in the soil and this brand has always grown good plants under cfl, hid and sun. led, may through august only
Have you considered whether this might be the problem? From what ive seen ferts in soil isnt the best with leds. Since you do have to make adjustments in environment for transpiration it gets hard to compensate with nutrients when they are already mixed to the soil. If you arrange for transpiration being towards the low end: stronger feed, if you adjust transpiration towards the high end; weaker nutes.

i and many others have grown with pro mix for decades under hid, cfl and sun with no problems. it would be silly to assume i could make some guesswork adjustment to this otherwise good soil mix in hopes that my led won't kill my plants 'quite so much'. the best thing i could have done and did was swap to hps. that was the actual 100% effective solution full stop

you get on a forum to ask questions about your 2x2 tent, you get answers from people that are way larger than a tent and have been doing it for decades and you wont listen.
ummmm, i don't use a tent. and, the people i get my info from and the links i quote/videos etc are all big time pro and or university level growers/scientists

all i seem to be doing here is rehashing all the info i already provided for a bunch of tent growers who keep asking the same already answered questions because they don't want to open their eyes to actual scientific reality which shows that switching to hid indeed saved my grow in an instant

and lol at these so called expert led growers telling me all of the tips and tricks to improve the situation, when even they have no idea the full extent of any one of these so called remedies and or what delicate combination of each to use

i switched to hid, the plants no longer suck ass. end of story. no amount of led sciencing would have done this so quickly and easily if at all

and again, refer to my post above to see how i have added 2 of the 4 bars of my led back into the grow at 13% dimmer. okay!? satisfied now?!!!!

i'll let you guys know if the led kills the plants again, stay tuned

if i grow some fire it will most certainly be attributed to the led i am sure

LOL

Im not saying change your soil recipe im saying that you can adjust liquid nutes. This is generally more important when you grow with led than other lights. You seem to have found a good solution for your situation, good on you.

in canada pro mix sells herb/veg mix and moisture mix both omri certified and both with 3 months fertilizer. it grows healthy plants under sun, hid, cfl and for a few months of the year also led (veg more so than flower)

again, what exactly must i change so that the led doesn't fry my plants 8 months out of the year?

ah yes, the light. that's the actual solution. everything else would take at least a few more failed crops to 'maybe' hope to solve with this led

on the other hand, just having these two led bars at 13% seems to have given a boost to the hps : )

dude just a humidifier smh
nope, not in any way a guarantee to fully recover the plants. hid however solved the problem as i had already explained thank you

led is only used in small amounts now to boost the hid

i don't want to keep going over this because the problem was solved with hid

i have explained already it would take major environmental and substrate/feed changes to bring the led grown plants to health

so for now the hid is growing brilliantly and the led can be used to add spectrum/yield

If I had to guess, I'd say the OP was using LEDs in a too cool environment, leaves started getting a little yellow so they douched it with extra fertilizer, nothing changed so they decided to change to HID lights, which probably warmed up the grow area, which corrected the original problem, that was not light but temperature.
Warmed up the roots, your exactly right this has happened to me
