LED lighting and seedlings

I'm going to be doing my first full grow with a Kessil H350 Magenta. Just took the popped seeds 2-3 mm and put them in soil/solo cups/plastic wrap and have read that they should be under an 18 hours on 6 hours off light cycle. This light uses different tech than LED's or so it claims via Matrix lense and I've positioned this light about 43 inches high in my tentView attachment 2307967

Will this height and light exposure be suitable for seedlings?

The only problem I see with this light is it only target the best flowering spectrum, doesnt offer much for vegging. I have had success with flowering LED light to veg but they always had some blues/white led in the mix. I would have it turned off until they are 2 weeks old and use a CFL if you wanna make sure not to waste seeds. good luck

Thanks Enduro, I'm going to do the best I can despite only having an h350 Magenta atm, I've got more seeds (although I don't want to waste even one) and I understand that my first grow is experimental and a learning process. Due to my specific environment and extremely limited space with an extenuated circumstance of stealth and with the electric bill being a deal breaker, LED was my choice. I've never even grown a sunflower but I'm confident I can learn. I've covered the cups now with cellophane, they've gained some condensation and have gone from 2 days popped (good tap roots) in a bag straight into a solo cup of moist FFOC. Timer set to 18 hr on 6 hr off, currently its the first 12 hours I've had it in the light (not on a 12/12 cycle just the time since planting), soil is still moist, hoping I see it break soil in the coming days. I've not had much encouragement regarding the use of Kessil due to the h350 being relatively new, and I may end up purchasing a purple h350 in addition to my magenta in the future but I hope I can pull this off just to get a grow under my belt and maybe be pleasantly surprised.

the kessil is a great supplemental light in my opinion, but before you buy another kessil I would buy more of a full spectrum led light. Make sure you dont leave the cellophane on 24-7, open it twice a day for fresh air and as soon as they pop out I start punching holes. I am not that good at starting seeds but I know one thing, you gotta let them breath!!
