The best way to know is to buy a lux meter and measure.
This is how i remember it:
Pre veg 7000/15.000 lux
Normal veg 20.000-35.000lux
Pre flower 40.000-50.000 lux
Ending 55.000-65.000 lux

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Believe correct. Just make sure if purple led that you have the correct Lux meter. I always check my lux as well just didn’t think of it at the time

Most of the manufacturer's are complete shit when it comes to recommending appropriate height from the canopy. Start very high with your dimmer set low. Seedlings /clones do not need or want to be blasted with intense light. These are not florescent fixtures from the 80's. They do not need to be 6" from the canopy. 1-2' is what I run without issue. The guys that run them closer just bleach the shit out of their canopy often resulting in less potent buds due to the bleaching effect. The plant in the left rear was a mistake. It shouldn't be that big, but it is what it is. It's still 1.5' from the light. A bit too close for my liking, but we'll push through it without issue. Too much light actually damages the resin glands degrading your end product:

The lights in this photo are in the same position. They don't need to ever move. That's why you have a dimmer on LED lights. When I see people raising and lowering their boards I just shake my fucking head:

This monster is under 2 100w boards dimmed to 50% power. Notice the healthy growth with no light bleach? 100w of power is all it takes to grow something like this. I tried running a 450w board at full power in this same 5x5 and fried all the plants within 48 hours. There seems to be a huge misconception that vegging plants need the same amount of light as flowering plants. Lower power in veg. High power after the 2nd-3rd week of flower after flower set has occurred. Blasting full power at the weeks 1-3 of flower is a very bad idea. Too much intensity can easily damage your developing baby flower sites. The exact opposite of the goal a grower is trying to achieve in the flower cycle.

FYI: If you need a lux meter to tell you where your light should be you've got bigger problems than lighting :)

Which means you we're once in the position he's in now. If you ha a lux meter at the time you probably wouldn't have fried you're plants .

These things are made for a reason and like you said you can't just trust the manufacturer.

I’ve been using the Photone app (iOS) and paid the $5 for the full LED add-on. It seems to be pretty accurate based on my research and comparisons to the mfgr’s chart. Will most likely get an actual meter eventually. Do the following PPFD numbers look good to anyone familiar?

Seedling - up to 300 PPFD
Veg - up to 750 PPFD
Flower - up to 1k PPFD

Get the pro version if using burple . I have it and like it just make sure you read the instructions and make the diffuser. Simple easy

Looks good! I just finished my first run, but I flipped to flower when my scrog was about 60%-80% full. You’re getting close. You basically want to envision how you want them to look when they’re finished and when you’re a little over halfway there, flip.

I’d also keep some of your veg nutes as you introduce the flower nutes for a few weeks, maybe do 50/50 and slowly phase the veg nutes out to avoid stressing them. I believe it’s common to go lighter on nitrogen than they need early in flower which can cause problems. I had a plant herm around day 30, potentially from the issues mentioned above, or could’ve been a light leak too. Another thing: don’t remove the ties you use for training if/when you put in a trellis net. I removed mine and it caused the branches to bunch up, causing stress and likely lower yield.

Also, which one is Cheese? I have a fem photo seed and am thinking about running it.

Will definitely do a transition when introducing the flower nutes… I’m using emerald harvest for all my plants which seems to be working fantastic
That's looking really nice, wish i had an option of using a small greenhouse like yourself. Hopefully in the future when i have my own piece of land as well.

About you're other plants. If i could make one recommendation for future times, use fabric pots. I've been growing in plastic pots for years and since i switched to fabric pots 2 months ago i couldn't be happier, faster growth, more roots and thicker stems in the same amount of time and nearly impossible to overwater once they are settled in. The only thing is you have to water more frequently seeing they dry out quicker but that's a good thing seeing they will drink more and more dry/wet cycles promotes more root growth :)

Just because someone's plant is doing fine at a certain height. Doesn't mean everyones variables are the same.
I have ran qbs 15cm, 30cm 50cm.
The light intake depends on a lot of other factors.
a cold plant will not take kindly to bright lights whereas a plant in hotter conditions may be able to take it all.

Cbf taking a photo of my unbleached plants at 6 inches from leds.. But yea, I do it for the lower branches mainly.
