i backed off led and am using 2 400 cmh's and 1 super hps 600. once the leds get cheaper i will go all white 4100. I do have a ac unit in my room also lmao. led's dont need a ac unit.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this post. I bought the same exact lights from HTG and I am currently doing my first grow ever with them. So far I'm in love. No heat problems to speak of and they really are just beautiful. Feel free to stop by my journal! It is only the third week or so but I'm excited. There have been minor speed bumps that were completely my mistake but I'm excited to see what these lights will do.

Just be prepared for some leds to burn out.. I put my HTG up for a couple months and when I plugged it to check it out, a quarter of the panel wont light.. Cheap POS.. Glad I copped it from A51 for over 50% off

Yup! My buddy who's also a member here that rarely posts. Cheeseburger killer. I'll have to ask him to come chime in. He's had to replace multiple times. Htg has been good about the warranty but it's a hassle nonetheless. Talked to him yesterday and they just ordered 6 xgs 190s. Still plan to use the htg 432s aswell though I'm not sure if he plans in continuing to fix them as they go out our not.

vipar LEDs work well, and they are manufactured by evergrow. i got mine directly from evergrow- 3x 268w and 2x308w and they pumped it out pretty reliably @.7 g/w using a veganic RO water only mixture.

mixed variety tent- btk kush, vanilluna, sour bubble x (pre 98 bubba x double purple doja)

Yeah I think what people aren't getting is that with LED one of the positives is that you SHOULDNT have to replace anything. We all see that if you have enough lights, it flowers well, but how long will it continue to do so? That's why people buy Apache, Hans, A-51, because they don't have to replace them every 6 months...

Plant 4 is catching up pretty nicely. A little nute burn on one of the leaf tips though. And on plant 1, there is a small leaf that has two tiny holes in it. Don't know what could have caused it. Maybe nutes got on the leaves and nutes under light burned a hole? Either way, nothing to worry about. All of them are looking and smelling great! Maybe a little on the short side but other than that, they are starting to fill up nicely. The smell is sweet and earthy and not at all what I would have expected haha.

Happy happy they are now bro keep them like that and feed them grow the whole time, just add bloom to it. so i am saying that 450-600 ppm is grow then add 200-500 bloom mixed with humic acid/ ect. i cant wait they are looking so good. now youy are in the easy stage, so feed then right and you will have awesome ladies with fat nugs.

Thanks! I'm really loving this grow. This is my first ever attempt at any kind of "gardening." Hopefully all keeps going well and they continue to flourish.

Also question to everyone/anyone:
They are about 3 weeks and 3 days deep in vegetative. My next question is when should I start to switch to flowering? When they get to a certain height or at 4 weeks or what?

Thanks! :D

when nodes start alternating position. so say all your fans are on the west/east side and the next node fans are on the north side. that means she is mature and can go into flower. it also is how big do you want them. if you are not sure then let them get 20 inches then with the stretch they should hit 28-30 inches then the buds will add a few more inches. which means you would end with a 36 inch plant. or close to that.

those are in a coco based veganic soil mixture,
they only received RO water the entire grow
which was supplied through drippers. love coco
for its wicking ability, you can run drippers and
RO water and never have to fuck with anything.

your statement about "this is how big to get them"
seems pretty one dimensional. some folks grow
12/12 from seed and still get excellent results

how big you wanna get 'em is exactly that, how
big you want to get them in your situation and
for your setup. you cannot reliably predict the stretch
on plants (unless you're growing from clones or
have a good grow report on several seeds of the
strain) and say how tall they are gonna finish
either, don't spread misinfo, there be newbs about!

an indica dom variety flowered at 20 inches could
finish anywhere from 20 to 40 inches, and a sativa
flowered at 20 inches could end up over 8 feet!

Thanks for the info man , how many plants would i be able to grow just under one of them , and witch strain would be good for my first grow ?

That is a open question. i will not be so vague since i have been. To really grow 1 plant 180 actual led watts is the least. if you can lst and keep them smaller then 2. i dont grow small i let my plants veg and then i cut them in half so they fatten up the stems so they can feed more when the buds get going. Fyi i am using cmh and super hps bulbs now. If you check my thread and follow you will see. As far as being 1 dimensional guess sometimes i am. If i put everything in one saying it would takes pages so i shorten it. I wil always say grow your way not mine or others. We are not the same and will never grow exactly the same. Find what works and dont listen if it works for you do it. this plant we grow is still showing new ways ect so have fun. I love growing and will answer the best i can. I am usually baked off my ass form my c99/Blueberry or even a nug of my white widow i have stashed. some is powder(dry ice hash) some is water hash(frenchy style) some is just plain ole aged nugs. so please dont get all excited about what i say. get baked then read it again.
