Care to post pics of the install?

Not sure if you know this already but you could have had a defective ballast/hood or improperly wraped up slack from excessive cable and that will surely spit out OTA RFI
Post pics of the install? Install on what? Why?

Not sure if you know, but Lumatek said they took are of the prob years ago. But that simply wasnt true...as proven by hundreds of people with the same complaint.

Thousands more dont even know they have an rf problem.

Because i was willing to help you figure it out duh!

Well this is bad news, i should have said "most ballast" in 2016 emit very very low emmisions, i have never had an issue with lumateks older black ballast, however being an electrical engineer i know build houses can slip and get lazy with quality control as i have witnessed it with other cheap companies plenty of times.

If you had a bad experience with a diesel ford, why would you forever scrap the diesel idea when all you need to do is switch brands?

What do you mean? With lumatek?

Ya. They run the ballast and dont know the noise theyre emitting... till the cable company finally calls.

I have nothing against lumatek. Still run mine. My Gavita emits too...not as much but still...

I'm not sure what you're asking. I have both T5 and LED's and they are pretty equal as far as growth.
Hi, I want to replace my HO bulbs with LED replacement bulbs. They fit in the T5 fixture and I saw them at a couple of places online and want to get rid of the heat and save some on the elec bill but worried about amount of light the bulbs (actually I want to buy a straight LED light too, thanks). I am going to call my company, HGTsupply and ask them about the bulb cause I suspect that they would sell them if they were effective. They are designing their own fixtures but expensive. I have other questions too...I am full of questions. Like how long is it reasonable to expect an HO ballast to last. Had some since 2008.

I haven't seen any LED bulbs shaped like a T5 or that would fit into a T5 fixture. I've bought a lot of stuff from HTG but I haven't been on their website in a long time. I have no idea how long an HO ballast will last but they are easy to change out (15 min job) and you will hear a loud humming or it won't come on when they go out.

Wow I was just checking out my old posts and had no idea this one took off a bit. @Ethan010 are these led lights with the daisy chain any good for growing veg and flower or just veg? Seem like the percent option for my grow space at the moment.

Depends if you can afford the up front cost of LED. If so, no reason not to do it. Would be worth it to build your own LED though.

Gotta say, I got a 550 led and I am amazed at the light output compared to my T5HOs. I was told, by a reputable source, from the far North, that the light of LED and HO were comparable. Guess I will find out. And perhaps I need new HO bulbs. I appreciate the info from potpimp about the LED HO bulbs. I gave up on them. I hoped to save watt costs with LED but seems my new light is the same wattage as two of my HOs. Oh well, the light is worth it.
