so as far as lighting spectrum for leds'..

for vegging - more bluer
for flowering- more reddish?

so something like this
http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/for/2061010361.html
http://cgi.ebay.com/225-LED-Plant-Grow-Light-Panel-Red-Blue-Hydroponic-Lamp-/130469069790?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e609003de

mixed with a normal hps bulb will be sufficient for a sustainable 1 person grow?

it won't hurt, honestly it won't do much though, those are super low power, also the build quality is pretty crap, 2 rows of led went out on my cheapy 40$ ebay special led lamps.

what wattage hps is this going to supplement?

also, a 1 person grow? i know folks that blow through a couple ounces each month, others that make 3.6 grams last well over a month, needless to say your question is going to be difficult for anyone to answer without more detail

just a heads up the 90w pane i got from ecogroled does put out heat about as much as cfls maye a bit more.
so like the same as how many watts of cfl are you talking? i think i just need to go ahead and install a intake fan..... trying to avoid it for the light leak but i guess its no getting around....... im pushing 2 120s out so i guess ill install a 80mm to go in once i get an led light...... im bidding on one on ebay for cheap right now, but im trying to get a deal from alibaba..... anyone know a person on there that sells the 90's for a decent price in either tri or quad band with preferably cree leds?

Just checked ebay. The 2011 flowering panel is listed. The exact specs are not listed but it looks like almost all the 6 and 12k diodes are 630 or 660. The print says that at least some 12 and 6 K diodes are present but they are minimal as I recall in a discussion with Victor. Hope that helps until you get exact specs.
ho hum again avoiding the question why will you not post a link to your panel. I've posted like fifteen links to mine in here i want to look at your panel SHOW IT TO ME!

hi vradd, you'd need a decent wattage hps to do that easily, at that point the panel you posted won't help too much unfortunately, better to spend more and get t least a sunshine systems panel or one of the edison socket led grow bulbs imho

here's a pic of how i had mine setup, it was on the ceiling of a 14" cube with some 26watt cfls, nothing grew quickly in this cube

@kapt there is a 240watt veg model.....i remember seeing it on ebay and when i ordered my flowering model i actually called vic back to double check that i did in fact purchase the flowering model

By the way I am 48 hours into using my blackstar 240 and I am definitely impressed....All the middle and lower buds that never seem to grow are now growing
There is an explosion of fresh white hairs all over both of my girls..I havent seen any growth like this since the first began flowering.... I was initally planning on begin my flush this weekend but now i think i wanna let them go for another week of two...Im kinda sorry I didnt pick this light sooner

Hello All and Happy New Year! Sharing some test grow pics from my microcab that is fitted with a 63 Watt HGL Penetrator light. Obviously there is lots of stretch happening here. Not sure whether to be happy or sad as its my first grow.

* Strain: Lemon Larry OG, 41 days flower (2 plants)
* DWC/Hydro; Lucas formula for GH Flora

I have a question for all the led users out there........ What is the distance you usually keep between your led lighting and plants during veg and flowering stages

Personally, the best LED on the market Ive dealt with. 15 bands and made with the highest quality of materials inside and out.

http://www.blackdogled.com

I own the BD360 max flower model. Steep price, but you get what you pay for in this World.
Have it set 12 inches above very thick canopy and it is penetrating a good 10 inches below with ease, couldn't be happier with it.
Ended up giving away my 400w hps.

I don't like how these website want you to pay over 1k for a new product on the market and the web page only has one or maybe to little shit pics to help you decide.
If I had a really good new product out and was selling them I would make sure you saw every little millimeter of the product....Just like a new car

Most of the websites that sell LEDs pay more attention to showing us vigorous grow but....That is pretty fuking eazy to scam.....

i feel like it is about 90w led puts out as much heat as a single 75w flur in the same space.

and 15 band led?? why???

3 year warranty?

The LED "industry" is full of people assembling generic LEDs into an assortment of different panels that are "the best", "using the best bulb" and "better than the cheap LED panels" ... but at the end of the day they are all just assembling generic LEDs that were not manufactured specifically for horticulture - some are just re-branding Chinese panels.
As just about anyone (with enough start-up capital) can start a similar business and create great web pages to bullshit buyers, the market is getting saturated.
I don't think that "assembled panels" of stoplight LEDs is the future of LED growing and I doubt that any business peddling the panels will be around in 3 years to honour any warranties.
