After seeing your pix, It's apparent your problem stems from your Kessils being much to close to your plants. I'm just now learning how best to manage these lights, and I've learned the hard way. The light from Kessil LEDs is deceptively intense, and too close will set things back.

I'd lose the CFLs, they are unnecessary.
Well that leaves me with two problems. The Kessils are at the very top of the cabinet, and besides providing light the CFL's also provide heat which is necessary to keep the plants warm enough.

Viagro, what if I go back to the 2009 Lighthouse Hydro UFO, and save the Kessils for a 2X4 tent (currently growing an autoflower in an Aerogarden as an experiment), I also have?

That might be your best option, considering.

A tip running with LEDs are intake at the top and exhaust at the bottom so the air can mix with the heat produced by the leds since they barely put put any radiant heat. This will also cool the leds too making the servicelife much greater.

HID users will come around eventually. remember the first 4 cylinders to hit the market? They sucked! Now there are some bad ass cars that are gas sipping L4s! Give it time, have faith.
dude not havin a go in any way but my HID costs like $15 a month to run, comparing a 4 cylinder car to a V8 is nothing at all like the comparasin between LED's and HID's. The V8 is constantly costing more money to run than the 4 cylinder and is never going to help you out with anything in terms of price, the HID's are growing your buds quicker so you can start your next grow earlier than someone using LED's which is something thats going to earn you more money (if selling), also HID's grow a bigger and fuller crop resulting in more yield which is also going to earn you more money unlike the V8 which is always going to be costing you more and more money...

I no this isnt a thread on HID's and im sorry for interupting the thread to talk about them, but i feel this needed to be cleared up, but great thread by the way its sure an intersting topic, peace out:)

What's up with that is I'm not making an claims about LED's one way or the other, just that they're OK. What is it you feel I need to prove? That they aren't as great a claimed?

I will finish this grow with the Kessil's as Viagro sugggests, but whatever the result it won't be accurate because I have 600 watt (equivalent) of CFL in there too.

Here are your pics:
why not?

hahah i would like you to show me ANY hps that will grow my buds as fast as my LED is growing them, Lets stick to 400w for comparison because that is the equivalent LED im running and i HAVE a 400w HPS to base this against. The LED i run is 240w blackstar panel it uses 120w of power give or take a little bit i have to hook up my meter to check it again. It is making my 400w HPS look like a toy plaything with the results its putting out. Thank you for your opinion but it is unfounded or based on old LED technology.

no guy no hard feelings im just a hard guy to deal with in general and i tend to be little rough in my comments sometimes without realizing it. lol somtimes bein buzzed doesnt help either it brings out the alky gremlins and then you forget where u put ur weed lol o_O

LOL Kapt. will just have to learn to take your comments for what they are worth. Whatever my blackstars are they are vegging very nicely. Barring catastrophe we will see what they can do in flower, even without pictures and specifications in a format you find acceptable. Seriously no hard feelings.

i dont think i can say fairly if ecogroled panel i got is good i just had another grow problem let my bucket run dry again but so far theyve done a great job imo

I have been thinking about the leaf bleaching issue Viagro has discussed for the Kessil lights. Like any technology this one may come with technical drawbacks. Specificly I am concerned that the focusing element of the Kessil composite chip many be focusing light in the UV range or IR much like a magnifying glass to cause the bleaching described. This would not have to be visually evident or involve more than a relatively small percent of damaging wavelengths such as UV. If the lens used on any given Kessil light has sufficient chromatic abberations this is a plausible explanation for why this relatively low energy but highly focused beam of photons produces bleaching and/or burn at distances that much more powerfull photon emiters do not. It also would be an excellent explanation for the light movement system kessil suggests as the damaging "focused" wavelengths would not be in one place long enough to cause damage. This is purely speculation but based on my experience with fine optics both in photography and astronomy it does concern me. On the plus side greners.com lists the Kessils for 219 each today.

I was unaware that the 240 panel uses 120watts......now im definitely gonna get another one if that is true....my buds are exploding with these lights

Rough and wrong sometimes....You still havent acknowleged the blackstar 240 veg/clone panel, only god knows why though......lol

Does anone know how long it takes to actually bleach the plants or how many days does it take to see effects of bleaching, becuase I have my led's about 6" away from my tallest plant and they have been for about a week now and i see nothing but buds....green buds
