Tried to find the ebay seller that sold that light but couldn't find it but I found this: http://arcticsunled.com/
also a grow journal, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/395828-platinum-pre98-bubba-purple-kush.html

Looks like GLH 2011,

Well a good sign by looking at 626w photos is that the panel actually uses a HEATSINK compared to blackstars with just a flat piece of metal.
Sorry, it's UK ebay, here's the link

You make a good point about the heat sink. I'm going to go have a look at that Arctic Sun light.

Thanks.

Good, thanks for asking. After a setback from a hot dose of organic nutes I received as a sample, things are back on track and buds are swelling.

I'm just shy of 2 months in, I figure I'm 10 days away from harvest.

(I was just over at another site and I saw this Onyx on day 42, grown under 90w led.)
Good, I'm glad to hear its going well. There isn't much info out there from normal people using them for grows. Is that because they're so new? being a newb i dont know how long they've been out. I cant wait till the end of january when I can do some shopping :-) I think I'll have to order my light from the states as you suggested a few pages back

hmm im a machinist its not hard at all to make a heat sink all i would have to do is ground a machined finned piece of billet to the hottest part of the led and it would still have the fans and a heat sink... i wonder if that would void warranty lol maybe i can get lighthouse to buy my heatsinks if i decide to slap some together lol. Oh boy i got a project now rofl. Oh so blown rambling hahahaha i love LED herbs shit has me LIFTED right now i can barely spell. Good ol sourdxssh

No, SunshineSystems Grow Spot.

You might get them cheaper at the SunshineSystems site.

Yeah, I think most people are put off by the low wattage and considerable price. I know I was, but the more I studied, the more I understood it was just what I needed. I'm glad I took the chance, but I don't blame the doubters.

Did you see the Kessil giveaway promo? You might win one, if you can enter from across the puddle.

yeah and that shit was pricey i have heard of those step up transisters. I wonder if i could get some and wire them into my black star maybe increase the life a little bit first i have to find out if they truly are what those guys say they are and what they do. Excess of spectrums on their light just like the AN led. Looked bright as hell though.

The website puts me off. Not enough pertinent info. And why just one light?

Maybe a cottage industry, which is ok to a point, but what about a warranty?

...the lumigrow es 165 isn't as bright to my eyes as i had expected, the haight solid state ppf-400 appears to be much much brighter, alas i am not a plant

I'm curious to know if anyone active in this thread is using growledhydro Spectra lights? Their website is really outdated (their new 2011 models look quite different from their website models) but I've seen some amazing stuff using their lights over at 420magazine with Irishboy and some others.

ahhhhh that was a better picture i got zoomed in on it the blackstar has the same thing only its not finned =( its ok though it doesnt run that hot anyways. In the link that viagro posted he said it was sealed with silicon to the back, didnt make sense to me i thought it would be something like they run on most heat sinks take for example your computer processor that goo shit u put on it when installing it transfers heat. Im thinking about maybe after i get another one taking apart the one i have and machining a finned heat sink like that out of billet aluminum and reatatching it with the heat transfering adhesive. That is if i decide to get another black star. I probably will but it will probably be a 600. Kessils would cost too much for me to run on my larger table for the coverage they offer in comparison with teh blackstar 600 and my 240w is kickin so much ass over that table i just dont see the point in trying to fix whats not broke. Now my smaller table that is exactly 2x2 is going to get a single kessil as soon as i get the cash. Ill probably us the kessil and with supplement cfl for veg or induction if i feel like spending the $$$ as i already have a gang of cfl's over the table right now. Where are you ups man...

On a sadder note please say a prayer for my friend his wife passed from cancer today and left him with his son and daughter and he's havin a rough time with it. Im worried about him he's had a rough enough life as it is and hes an older guy and he doesnt need this kind of thing right now. Thank you guys.
