no ones going to scan and find a 400, maybe 8 of them.

itis not really somthing you need to worry about, odour and blabbing mouths are you real dangers. JMO

Agreed.


And i own a 90W UFO, they are not equivalent to a 400W HPS. They will grow bud, but not nearly as much as a 400W HPS. It's about 2X2 coverage area.

thank you for the quick reply and theres no way im buying 8 at 300 a pop i read on here about the thermal scan i dont remember where but ehh i might as well just go with the hps it would be more cost effective and i will get a better harvest so i guess its worth the risk thanks again +rep

short answer: no.

For a long answer, search the forums. If you aren't going to do your homework, and don't like the idea of spending 4-10 times as much, just go HID.

LED's are very limited in terms of the quality of product they produce compared to HPS. Also the quality per brand varies greatly from maker to maker. Some are junk and other are pretty good. Bottom line is current LED's can't match the type of growth you get off an HPS.

If you live in the USA, they can't do a thermal scan of your house unless they have a warrant anyway.
