Thats $250 without including the extra power draw over the grow period, plus the ventilation needed to keep it cool (fans/ducting) and replacement bulbs, its got to be quite close in cost.

I know wot they do they bring on average like u said 110000 lumens unlike the 600s they bring 92ooo so here is how i work it out
110000 shared by 1000 gives you 110 lumens every watt were as
92000 shared by 600 gives you 143.3 lumens every watt so i theory wot is better? Please dont come back with pics as ill show u afew

well cheese wanna do a comparison i just rooted my 72 purple kush strain i got greatwhite shark i got PPP, M39, you pick your strain you want lets say we go 30 plants each i will run 2000 watts on my tracks no C02 you run 3 600's hell i will give you a chance you run 4 - 600's we veg 2 weeks and flower from a 4" clone how much you bet i get better gains overall plants will be bigger including buds and more denser if you feel up to it get 30 plants ready i am game

There's a lot of LED bashers. That's just crazy.

lol going after one of the obvious disadvantages of LEDs, the footprint. I have 10 under my 500w blackstar currently, limited by space moreso than light.

It would cost the exact same to set a tent up with a 600w setup! My tent only has a 6in 400 cfm fan. I figured I wanted a 400 cfm fan for my 4x4 tent (96 cubic feet) to cycle the air at least 4 times a min. I could have went with a bit smaller fan but it was only 20 maybe 25 dollars cheaper!

If your 500w led comes anywhere near my 1000w hps, I will give all my hps stuff away and switch to led! I can say this because I know its not going to happen! If I could spend next to nothing on power and still pull a pound+ per 4x4 area I will gladly switch!

bro i only runn exodus cheese only as i have done for ten years + so it not gonna compare really as i ve more knowlodge of my strain but ill hit u up wen this run is over unless u wanna veg 20 of your purple kush for 4 weeks under your 2x1000 compared to my 3x600s like im runnin know let me now and it shoulb b a good read !! hey chedder m8 not trying to bash nothing but i do big grows meaning over 700 plants in all staqes i usally veg 2 weeks from a 4 " clone and in two weeks there 16 to 18" high as pics will show you
600's in all aspects dont compare we can fight all day like you mentioned thats what we do down south here well down south there i deleiver 100 pounds a week
since 911 its gotten harder and since 911 you ppl down south have started growing reasons being we cant supply you all as much as we have stilll in mexico there bring ing in 90 tons a week of pot
i saw your grow nice but relatively small with 3 600's you shoud do well with that being said thats great
but i can tell you most big grow ops will not waste there time on 600's were about making big yields fast and unloading Fast i sell kush at 1600 a pound ppl think im nuts but when your unloading 20 pounds its a cash day let me tell you my ppp 1900 a pound but yet again its quantity over matter
i own a botanic garden not only selling perps an annuals so i got a soil oven and all the works ove r 16 green houses as well when it comes to soil let me tell you m8 i order 6 B trains a year for my stuff

If my 500w LED comes anywhere near your 1000w HPS on my first grow, I'll plant marijuana seeds across the world and grow it all lol.
I dont have an equivalent foot print and only 9 plants in 3 gal buckets from start to finish.. I planned on a smaller yield with this first harvest, but next one when I have my tent and desired set up, I may take you up on that.

then why not keep them closer? i would use 1000ws but my tops always would always burn when they were close to the glass. how do you keep you lighting that cool? do you use a chiller? my exhaust is 720 cfm 8 inch. 1000w was too hot for me, but i never tried a chiller.
