Legal advice for a new business

I’m looking for some someone to point me in the right direction for legal advice. I’ve come up with a unique business plan. It would be in Vermont and have cannabis on location. I’d like to find someone familiar with Vermont business and cannabis laws. I have business experience. Currently run my family business. And have a decent amount of start of capital. Basically I just want to verify my plan would be legal in VT. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I'd just hire a consultant and spend a few thousand dollars to be honest. I had a friend who wanted to import royal honey from Brazil to Japan. I told him to hire a consultant but he was a know-it-all. Studied for months on all the regulations and dropped 100k on a first order and had it denied at port of entry because the standard capsule it was in was made with animal product and against the regulations. He was all pissed off because all the government offices he spoke with said no problem and he thought he was covered. The consultant would have known.
