legal in ca?

News from DEA, Domestic Field Divisions, Los Angeles News Releases, 08/07/08

watching the movie, super high me, there are dispensaries all over the state. not sure what the current count is, but I'd guess somewhere over 400 stores. so is it legal or not? how can the DEA be putting people in jail for running a store now? I haven't heard of that until just now.

Medical mariuana was legalized by the state of California. However, marijuana is still illegal on a federal level and therefore the DEA (a federal agency) has the authority to treat marijuana as an illegal substance.

however the state of California has been putting more and more effort into supporting the medical clubs because of all the protest that went out when the clubs got raided.

theres still hope

soon to be the Cannabis act of 2010 will be released allowing a tax to be enforced on the plant and allowing it to be manufactured but only allowing it to contain a certain THC content . kinda like Advil as opposed to vicodin or perciset

Ite so can I just go over there n buy a clone? Or do I have to show one of dem cards?

they go to court for it in the state, right? wouldn't the court throw it out, it being legal in the state? they don't really get 5+ years for it, do they?
