2 Durban poison seedlings one drooping over so I cut a solo cup in two and made a coupling, put right on top the other solo cup and filled up to leafs. This work for now or transplant needed ? 5" tall (was) . Also lowered lights to 12" on ts1000 at 25%.. thoughts fellow budmans?

Your name reminds me of being a kid in NY. We always had a corncob pipe bought at 7-11 to smoke our absolute shit weed in Brooklyn.

Ah good ghetto times.

On the actual point as long as you buried it and lowered the light you should be fine.

Any pics?

Yeah, I start seedlings under 1000 Hortilux HPS at no more than 24 inches. Id turn that light up full blast, and bring it down to 12-15 inches. Id also put a small breeze on it 24/7.

The ts1000 is very bright on 100%, at that power if you go below 30 inches for young plants they might suffer. I use the TSL2000.

Full power
30" seedlings
24" Veg
18" flower

That's the guide by Mars, but you can save power at first by lowering light and power. Past 3 weeks old you're plants will need full power at rated height.

Good luck

so i was checking on height, adjusted lights to 50% 24". then knocked one over it didnt come out of cup just knocked out fresh dirt and was laying onside of cup. well chit! ( just had bicep tendon reattached so iam one wing for now) . put dirt back to top and supported stem a bit... not sure what to do wait or should i germinate another ? how far behind one plant to another can this be done? too late? or just chill and see what happens?

I would just support it and wait 24 hours, you'll know if it's going to recover.

Good Luck

You are taking advice from another completely new grower a Mars ts1000 can be used at 100 percent for seedlings hang that sucker 2 foot above the seedling and turn the light up

That 100w light isn’t brighter than a 1000w hps build nor is your tsl2000. This plant is super easy to grow the sun is brighter than all these lights and seeds germinate out of the ground out side no problems just keep airflow high and the light 2 ft from the top of the plants and run them at 100 percent

If you want to guess at the actual PAR divide lux by 68. Pretty close and good enough for any full spectrum lighting. You can find a lot of threads on here by doing some simple searches i.e 'convert lux to par'

At lower light levels they work ok, but when the intensity gets up there they can't handle it.
Depends on what phone you have tbh. On my note 10+ vs my buddies actual lux meter it was fairly accurate up to about 60k. But yea over that things got funky.
