What up all? Signed up pretty recently just really getting into the site. Fucking awesome!
Anyways I am doing my first indoor grow. Planted my seeds (bag seed, I know, I know...) on 11.23.08
Just did some fimming today! Have three plants. Two are the same strain one is different. The two are doing well but are short, 5-6" respectively. However they have 12 fan leaves on one and 22 on the other! I am getting great, bushy, vegetative growth but no height.
I am using four 20 watt ott lites. Shitty I know but my budget is currently limited. I am on a 20/4 lights cycle, water when needed, and recently switched from miracle grow to fox farm. Using every other watering at 1/4 consistency. I am guessing my lack of vertical growth is related to the lack of lighting and the plants are growing out to get more light instead of up, but I could be wrong.
Also, some reddish-brown spots appeared on the plants and started spreading. Still there. What could it be? Additionally, most of the leaves are a deep, dark green. However some spots are really light green, the spots appear to be thinner than other parts of the leaves. Could this be from the miracle grow? Heard it was bad. Also, the miracle grow soil I used contained food already so I am wondering if its over fert. However the leaves don't seem brittle or wrinkled so I dunno. I use tap water that I let sit out and I test the ph. The water ph is 7 and the soil is around 6.5
I am worried that the seperate strain isn't doing well. Its slightly spindly and just looks like it wants to grow balls. I will get some pics up this weekend. I have another string going in the newbie section about the plants and have gotten some great advice there!
Anyway I want my second grow to be with a MH/HPS convertable ballast from HTG. 400 watters. I am trying to determine the BEST growing setup for this second project. Soil, hydro, AG, SOG, etc. I am looking to stop buying smoke and produce enough to supply three people with a total of an ounce every two weeks. I don't want to harvest every two weeks, fyi. Any feedback would be great! Pics will be up this weekend!! I eventually want to be a regular known poster here so I look forward to meeting those of you I haven't yet!
