BUT apache really needs to give us the bin#s so we can stop speculating........it's stupid, we all know their using nichia now.
There would still be speculation about lens- and driver losses. What consumers of LED panels should start demanding is the PPF figure (umol/s) of the whole fixture.

Guy,You know me,the story more or less,ok ?

I'm not advertising Astir led panels.
No.They are not by any means what most people would expect from any modern led panel ...

But I want to boast about my design,anyhow...

It is pre-historic ,of almost common Easter market led materials ..(easily replaceable crap)
They are made ,while I was thinkina a post-apocalyptic dark scenario for humanity ..
And then I though : " Oh $hit ! What about herb ? "
And those 24x 1 Watt arrays where born...

Based in " spreading heat and light " idea (multiple panels idea ... )

Using many low/mid priced (quality die -ordinary case and rest of led design) white and red leds ...

My favourite spectrum there : NW 5000K 65-75 CRI , WW 3000K 80CRI and red 640 nm
(THE BEST red wls ,if in design has to be used only one type (wl peak ) of red leds ...

.....

Well with the post-apocalyptic ,cheapos ...
With no Efficiency (electrical) what so ever ...

In another famous forum in National Forums , Greece ....
"Autoflower Led project " ,grow journals .

288 Watts @plug ......

397 grms => 14oz

auto jack 1: 62
auto jack 2: 60
auto jack 3: 35
auto jack 4: 43
bubblelicious: 85
sweet tooth 1: 58
sweet tooth 2: 54

(weights in grams . ---- 50 gr = 1.76 oz )

NO LIES! TRUST ME ! TRY IT YOURSELVES!
( BUILT THEM IF YOU DO'T WANT TO BUY THEM FROM ASTIR....

Heyho,

I looked into that Greek Astir Grow SDS mentioned.

He writes about his light schedule for his Autos that its 20/4.

And im wondering 20hrs of 288W.
If I use the same amount of power/time for regular 12/12 it would mean a power draw of 480W and that he grew about 0,8g/W which is nice but not epic...

What do you think about that? Am I wrong with my assumption?

Nope ...
You're not wrong ...
but not completely right ...
Because ,plants will grow differently on 12/12 with 488 Watts ,than on 20/4 at 288 Watts ..
Still ..Yes ....

Anyway ...

The point to all that ...

If those simple ,almost generic leds can perform this way ,(when used correctly ..)

Imagine the rest ,the good ones ,what they can do ...
Still ,the game there ,has different ,rules ...

Well ..
Still is impressive ...

Yes, your correct sir, ppf/ppfd would be nice;-)

Wonder how it stacks up to the kings (Gavita 1000w hps proline/ Philips 315w agro CMH)
