Okay so after my last harvest about 6 months ago I decided to hang up the towel. Well thats just not gonna happen. Ive been growing on and off for about the last eight years but with no set level of professionalism. My last grow i just tossed in the back of my closet with dirty clothing and what not. I ended up with around 2 ounces off one plant. This time around I have decided to put a little more into it. I have built a 2x3x3 chamber to grow in. I have wired it up with an electrical socket 2 light sockets for cfl's and a 50cfm duct fan. On the top of the box i have a 150 w hps. The ballast has been removed from the unit itself and wired up elsewhere to reduce the heat.

About the grow I have 10 germinated seeds in the 10 pots. all of them are bagseed, but they were randoms that came out of a bags of dank shit over the last few months. I am using miracle grow moisture control potting soil as ive had good luck with it in the past. I have bought some cheap nutrients for a little later down the road. One is for veg 24-8-16 and the other 10-52-10. I havent decided if im going to use them i think i might get something better. Anyone ever use liquid hydro nutes for soil? I have a few days to decide if i want to get something else, any suggestions?

Woke up and checked and all 10 have sprouted and are about 1/2 high. I put all of them on a box to get them closer to the lights

Today I purchased 2 daylight cfl's to replace ones i broke. I now have 2-26w daylight 2-26 3500k and a 150 w hps. I also got another duct fan to blow air into the box. I am really unsure where the best place to run the new duct into the box. If i decide to mount the fan its going to be limited to the left or right side of the box. And the hole coming in will need to be there either way. should i run the duct into the bottom front corner far from the out vent or near the top to blow at the light? the 4" duct i have is very flexible and ive consider running a long one in off the fan so that i can move i around inside for the best result?? ANy suggestions?

10 seedlings all doing well ill put up some pictures in an hour or so

To complete the air circulation, wouldn't it be best to have the new air coming in from the bottom, so it works its way up to your fan?

It might also bleed off the heat that your hps is throwing.

Its day 6 since they began to sprout. Some are doing better than others but overall Im happy so far. Last night I finally ordered some seeds. Automatic white russian. I ordered them from sensibleseeds.com. I am going to start a perpetual crop of autos.

friday i went out and purchased different nutrients and supplements for this grow its all botanicare products.
Botanicare pure blend pro grow 3-2-4 for hydro, soil, coco
cal-mag plus 2-0-0 supplement
liquid karma .1-.1-.5 growth catalyst
pure blend pro bloom for soil and coco. 1.5-4-5
Clearex- leaching solution
sweet-carbs

Does anyone have any experience with these? Ive only ever used cheap solid nutes. Is there anything else that i may need? I need to fine tune my knowledge so i am all ears.

After feeding the recomended doses for seedling and moving the plants up closer to the light, growth has exploded!! I will post pics later this evening.

wow 1 response in 9 days fantastic!!

Having heat issues still even with improvements. 1 50 cfm fan blowing in and 1 drawing out. its been chilly for the most part but when it warms up at all the cab goes up near 90. I figure it will stay cooler for the most part for a few more weeks but im gonna need to figure something out. Any Ideas how to drop temps would be great

Pics day 8

Howdy, I like the clean set up and the seedlings are lookin good. You could put in a small fan just to move air around that is enough to keep cfl's cool. grow on dude
