what are the minimum and maximum PH that a cannabis plant will grow at?
For hydro i think it is around 5.2 - 6.5 give or take ... i think soil is supposed to be a bit higher than that. From what I understand, the trick is to make sure you give your plant a range of pH since some nutrients are absorbed at higher and others at lower pH. Kind of happens naturally if you try to keep it at a steady 5.8 (for example).

Yeah, you might get the chlorine (Cl2) /chloramines (Cl2NH3) out, but all the other heavy metals and other garbage that is in tap water will remain. Sorry, there is no good substitute for a cheap RO system from a home and garden center.

Plus, RO water saves a ton of money on bottle water.

If you are still too lazy to do that, get some activated carbon to remove the some of the garbage inside of RO.

PS water dechlorinator for tropical fish is kinda out of the question, because it just binds it into a different inert form while it still remains in solution.

So opt for RO water filter, they are cheap. 100 dollars or so and you save a ton of money in the long run/produce good product.

I often use tap water straight away without waiting 24 hrs and haven't noted any detrimental effects. I do use G.H. FloraMicro for hardwater but often use straight tap water when topping off - plants don't seem to mind.

I have a tank-less water heating system so I do not think that is a problem for me...
its not just because of the tank. Hot water pulls more rust particles and solids from the pipes as cold water pulls less. Its why they suggest people use cold water when cooking, its not so the tank...more the pipes. But if its working for you, then :peace::mrgreen:

i let tap water sit out overnight, so the chlorine dissipates and does not kill the beneficial microbes in the soil.

much bettr quicker more reliable method, takes seconds, is add a pinch of vit c ....this will provide electron transfer turning Cl into harmless Cl-, it will also reduce all the other harmful positively charged oxidisers .....gotta love chemistry
