im from ireland...i live in the heart of ireland and am runin out of places to pick mushrooms!!! im heading to the wicklow mountains on friday all you mushroom pickers from ireland or across the world leave a comment on tips advice etc... ;-)
i recently went and got a luvly batch of fresh juicy mushrooms:lol:
i am looking for liberty caps only..... and any tips on how to dry the mushrooms properly without affecting potency??

i am going to make my own personal take on a 'mushroom' (magic of course) omlette over the weekend.....if nice i will post recipe!!!!

I have a dehydrater that dyies shrooms perfectly over night. Plus you can make beef jerky with it! dry leaves to make tea, potporie etc.

There are a couple of ways to dry your fruits.
If you don't have a food dehydrator I would just put them on a piece of newspaper then have a fan blowing on them. Might take over 24 hours to get them perfectly dry.

The hardest thing to get is the desiccant.
I think you can get some tidy cats odor neutralizer, and its made of pure silica gel (stuff inside beef jerky bags n stuff)
If you plan to go that route I would do some research because I am unsure about the tidy cats odor neutralizer.

Can't see the eggs sitting very well with the shrooms in your belly. Liberty Caps taste disgusting too. I don't bother picking them anymore. Every time I ever did them, except once, was a bad trip. The part I don't like the most is right before the end of the trip you get totally confused. Then you come back to normal right after the peak of the confusion. For about half an hour total confusion, nothing makes sense, can't read words, anything on the radio is all distorted, then blam you're straight. I really hate that total confusion part right before the end.

To each his own though. If that's your thing then go to it. I would prefer one of the 2C-X research chems myself, but maybe they are hard to get where you live. Shrooms would be my last resort for a psychedelic,same for peyote and morning glory seeds. Mushrooms are free, yeah, but they also taste like old socks and usually aren't worth the unpleasant aspects of the trip. They make you feel like crap for a reason, so you won't eat them again. That's their defense mechanism. On me, it was effective. I just leave them where they are now. That's why they can survive even though they are easy to see because they are in big patches. No animals will eat them more than once.

Any luck on your picking trip (if it was attempted, that is)?

And @Bob I also disagree, psychedelic mushrooms are a wonderful thing and I really enjoy the trips they have to offer.
I probably will never ingest a research chemical.. The name just scares me, it seems unsafe to take a chemical used for research.
Have they even been tested on humans?
By tested I mean scientifically to see the after-effects and long-term effects (if any).

the weather here has been really humid/sunny for the last 6days and now were gettin torrential rain but my spot was waterlogged and after about 2hours i only got enough for a trip, not impressed but thats the way it goes, gota wait for a bit of sun to dry the flooding up then the shrooms will be way more visable and golden rather than soggy poo coloured...

2c-X's are the same difficulty to get anywhere you live........ they are aquired from the internet....... in fact any drug known to man is easy to get off the internet................. do some research people. Ban me for being honest. At least I'm not giving sources.

By the way........ I'm an animal, and I'll eat them more than once......... whoops, too late =P'

hi everywan and thanks for all the replys!!! i went picking with a friend but we only got about 25 - 30 mushrooms so i gave them all to my friend ...he took them and sed he had a really good trip but the visuals wer abit 2 extreme and he sed they tasted like shit lol
am attepmting another picking session this week. yes research chemicals are almost impossible to get where im from! i tryed the internet but just cant find any sites. i got 2 batchs of 2cbs before and they are hands down the best drug i have ever expierenced. the only ting that ever came close are microdots :P

Funny coincidence mentioning "research chemicals" as I ran across a site with that in it's name; in tor space selling methylone, something-apam and a couple synthetic cannabinoids last night.
You're better off without that "white" crap anyway. Stick to the green and give those mushrooms a try in the park on the next sunny day with your friend and some pink floyd. Who knows maybe you'll like them, they can be stealth cultivated too ya know.
